"Very clean. We loved our quiet, modern renovated room with lovely linens and a jetted bathtub. The pousada has a nice pool and deck/garden area. Its landscaping is beautiful and offers both shade and sun. The front desk (Marcia) and housekeeping staff (Rebecca) were particularly welcoming and helpful. We found the breakfast to be on the modest side. This is unfortunate because many of us are fans of the Brazilian breakfasts that tend to be so generous and interesting, i.e., fresh juices and fruits, breads, cakes and cheeses. Judging from photos on the Expedia website, Villa Alferes once had more robust offerings. Your choice will depend on how much the breakfast experience means to you. "

"The room have mold in the washroom. There is no air conditioner in the room, only in a part that covers only one bed. They couldn't give me a proper room and they blamed Expedia. "

"O local é muito bonito, novo e confortável. As paredes são extremamente finas e ouve-se inclusive as conversas (nitidamente) dos hóspedes ao lado. Falha muito grande na construção e ponto importantíssimo para o descanso dos hóspedes."

"The rooms and building were in good condition. Very comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly as well. Recommended. The only 2 negatives are that the jacizzi hit tub was non functional and the water was extremely luke warm at best (cold side). As well,workers started renos at 7am all week and we feel this should have been managed better with a 9am start. It is a hotel after all. We were never warned about this event."
