The hike up to the top of Gaustatoppen is one of the most popular in Norway, and the view from there is phenomenal. You can also take the cable car inside the mountain to the top. If you want to hike to the summit, Stavsro is the most popular starting point. There are various hiking trails that all lead to the summit, so both families with children and experienced mountain hikers can find a suitable route. Another highlight for mountain hikers is the Hulderhola cave. A sauna session in one of the floating saunas on Lake Kvitå or a hike to the summit of Toreskyrkja are also a good option.
