"The front of the house was not welcoming with a lot of dirty cobwebs around the window and door.The front door opened into the main living room which is the selling point of the property, it does have a wow factor with ingle nook fireplace and oak beamed walls but the sofas are old and uncomfortable and the large rug is very faded and rucks up and becomes a tripping hazard.The kitchen and bathroom are very dated (80s) and needing a complete refurbishment. "Oat Barn has everything you could wish for a delightful stay. It is beautifully designed and decorated. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need. Very clean and high quality. "Seven of us age range 6-75 stayed at Gardners Cottage during New Year week. On arrival welcomed by the warmth of the property in the afternoon of the last day of the year. Nice one night stay in historic pub hotel

"A lovely little building in Mildenhall. Certainly an historic building, and comes with the quirks of its age, but the team has done a brilliant job of adapting and making it up to date. Missing shampoo, and no hair dryer, but the bed was great and the shower fantastic. Kettle and tea bits were all I really needed :-). "
