「As a hiker on the Hadrians Wall trail, this venue had everything; good food, good beer and a good drying room. After a wet walk this was most welcome.

「A lovely place to stay in a quiet, pretty village surrounded by lovely countryside. The staff were excellent and so friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was decorated to a high standard. I appreciated the fridge with cold bottles of water and fresh milk. The breakfast was substantial and tasty (I loved the vine tomatoes). I would definitely recommend The Sally to friends.」

「A very clean and comfortable place. The rooms were very nice and the beds quite comfortable. The bathrooms were up to date and there was plenty of hot water. The pub next door was very hand for a drink and breakfast in the morning. Very friendly staff. 」

Only down side would be the two single beds. Would have been nice to have had them pushed together as we were two sets of adults 」
