5. Bo Phut Beach
Bo Phut Beach is one of the longest beaches in Koh Samui, but is divided into distinct sections between Bang Rak Beach to the east and Maenam Beach to the west. In the middle lies Bo Phut town, affectionately referred to as Fisherman’s Village. As one of the oldest villages on the island it has been influenced by everything from traditional Thai and Chinese culture to French colonialists and more recently an influx of tourists. Chaweng Noi is just south of Chaweng, one of the busiest areas in Koh Samui. This tranquil stretch of sand is, however, nothing like the larger beach to the north.
