Cabo Rojo must see attractions

1. Combate Beach

Combate Beach is divided into two distinctive, equally beautiful crescents of sand, split in the middle by Punta Aguila. The significant length of the beach and its two-part shape mean that you can always find a spot of sand that suits your needs. Choose between the charming, developed northern beach, which features restaurants, resorts and boats bobbing in the water, or the quieter southern side, which offers uninterrupted views of Bahía Salinas and the Morillos Peninsula.

2. Playa Sucia

Playa Sucia translates to “dirty beach” but the name is entirely misleading. This secluded cove beach, also known as La Playuela, is one of the most pristine and beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico. Make the journey down to the southwestern tip of the island to find this classically Caribbean destination, where aquamarine waters roll gently across a curve of fine white sand.

3. Cabo Rojo Lighthouse

The Cabo Rojo Lighthouse, also known as “Faro de Los Morrillos,” is a striking landmark in one of the most spectacular parts of the Cabo Rojo region of Puerto Rico. The working lighthouse stands on dramatic cliffs at the southwestern tip of the island, still guiding ships around the rocks. Climb its tower for expansive views of cove beaches, a jagged limestone coastline and the glistening Caribbean Sea.
