I was extremely disappointed to be put in the basement. I don't visit London often and this was a birthday treat. After communicating with AI about situation eventually recd a message from a person but didn't see any staff at all. Room had all amenities but no housekeeping service for the 3 nights there. I did ask for room change but apparently they were full! I would double check with hotel where your room is before day of arrival. Location of hotel good.
