"Lovely pub in a serene setting, with one of the most attractive beer gardens I've visited. Room was neally nice, as was the food. I really couldn't fault it."
"Excellent hotel! Our stay was wonderful, the staff were incredible! The building itself is beautiful and the location was perfect. Breakfast was top notch. If I find myself in Reading again, will absolutely stay here. "

"Located within a few minutes walk of the town centre and train station, and across the road from a small parade of shops including several restaurants and take away outlets and a selection of convenience stores. On several visits my room has always been clean comfortable and well maintained and all the staff have been courteous friendly and professional and have good local knowledge of the area. Excellent value would recommend without hesitation"
"Beautiful building and interior. We came for our mini honeymoon and got ungraded. We had a congratulations note with chocolates in the room and rose petals scattered on a king size bed. Large room, large bathroom. Decent breakfast but quite minimalistic for £20/person.

"I stayed for 1 night on my way to London. The welcome from the member of staff was excellent. He was really friendly and couldn't do enough for me. I'd seen reviews of the hotel so was expecting it to be a bit grotty but, although it is tired, the room was comfortable and clean (the bed was very comfy and I slept really well).
Yes there are bad reviews gir the hotel but my experience was far from it. "
"Staff very friendly, hotel clean, nice clean rooms, easy access to the town centre and railway station.
Room was very warm ( due to warm weather) but fans were provided.

"Communication was great from the start, really clear directions to the property and instructions for everything you need. Apartment was very clean and well appointed - just as described. Thank you for a lovely stay - a perfect location for visiting our daughter at uni. We will be back - if our daughter lets us!! "
