"We had a pleasant stay overall. Breakfast was quite limited, especially for guests with dietary restrictions. I called in advance to confirm whether gluten-free and lactose-free options were available and was told that they were. Unfortunately, the gluten-free selection was limited to sliced bread, and the lactose-free option was simply lactose-free milk. I would have appreciated a little more variety given that I had specifically checked ahead of time. That being said, the hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner was amazing. The food was exceptional and definitely a highlight of our stay."

Astonishing Lake View House in Gerês

"The house is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The libing room is comfortable and spavious and the bedrooms all had A/C, loads of storage space and comfortable beds. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed for our stay and the pool was amazing for our kids. The views over the lake are exceptional and it was great to be able to watch the sun set/rise in the evenings/mornings. There is a well stocked supermaket about a 15 minute walk from the property, although it is a bit of a tricky walk back up the hill or on the road (no pavements). Andre was easy to contact, which was good as we found finding the correct turn-off for the house a bit tricky! Overall, we had a great time and would definitely consider returning again one day."
