We recently had our bi-annual family reunion here, with most people flying in from the east coast. It was perfect for them, because it was an easy drive from the San Diego airport. We filled the five bedrooms in the house, with four families (the primary bedroom suite is humongous, and we put three people in there with the use of a folding bed). Then, the stragglers stayed close by and came for the day. It was the perfect hub for our large family with different schedules and preferences. The kitchen is perfect for cooking as a family. We made huge meals multiple times and the kitchen was so well-stocked we didn't need to bring anything. We made lemon bars and lemonade with all the fresh lemons around the property, which Vlada (our incredibly sweet host) told us we could pick. There were so many trees with so many lemons, lots of the east coast family members smuggled fresh lemons in their suitcases. But the crown jewel was was the outdoor space. There is a very large outdoor table that allows for family dinners that looks out over the valley below, a truly epic view. At night, we turned on the outdoor string lights, and the combination of the sunset, those lights, and the view were so pretty, it was like a dream. Finally, Vlada the property owner and manager was so sweet and helpful. It was my first time renting a VRBO and I had no idea how it all worked. She was very patient and responsive. Would definitely rent again.
