The hotel is beautiful, and I met several very kind and helpful members of staff during my stay. They also accommodated an early check-in. Although I was initially told I would need to pay an additional fee, the charge was ultimately waived.
Unfortunately, I also had one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel. I had booked the tennis court for 90 minutes around two weeks in advance, and the reservation was confirmed by email. During our booking, another group arrived and tried to force us to leave the court. One person behaved aggressively and repeatedly harassed me. Two members of the hotel’s spa staff then came to the court and sided with the other group, even after I showed them the email clearly confirming my reservation. Despite the written evidence, they continued to insist that I was in the wrong.
The hotel later offered me a complimentary massage, together with a handwritten apology letter and some sweets. I appreciated the gesture, but I did not feel it was sufficient given the seriousness of what happened. I felt genuinely harassed and completely unsupported, particularly because two hotel employees sided with the people confronting me despite my confirmed reservation. It was an extremely upsetting incident that overshadowed an otherwise pleasant stay.
