Overall Vibe: The James is a lovely, stylish boutique hotel with a fantastic atmosphere. They provide body/shampoo wash but no conditioner."

"Staying on a beautifully preserved cruise liner built nearly 70 years ago was a unique experience for me. We really enjoyed it! However, the hotel owners perhaps went a bit overboard in trying to recreate a 1960s atmosphere in the cabins. The furniture isn't particularly comfortable. We were especially disappointed by the bed setup: two separate twin-size mattresses were placed on a king-size frame, topped with two twin-size mattress toppers. The whole arrangement kept shifting apart during the night, so we had to wake up and readjust it. But overall, we were left with a very good impression. A spacious and clean cabin, friendly and helpful staff, a very good breakfast at a reasonable price, convenient shuttle transportation and free parking in a spacious lot."

The hotel was in a good location, and it was easy to get from the station. We had breakfast at the hotel, but as a vegan I was little disappointed in the options, and would also have appreciated if there were clear labels to say what was vegan/any allergens."
