Quick Trip

This house was the perfect place to stay as my family came in town to watch my daughter play volleyball. We were able to relax, eat together and enjoy the beautiful views all around this amazing home.

A True Treasure!

I have never been to this area in Florida before. It reminds be of the old Florida were I grew up. The house, and property were amazing. Loved everything about the stay, including the wildlife.

Long Weekend

Came into town over New Years to visit family. The property was everything it was advertised to be, and very much loved the lake view. The hosts responded quickly when we reached out, and it was nice to be so close to Tavares and Mount Dora. Looking forward to our next stay here!

Jump in lake dora

Picked the property because of proximity to lake dora. I am a US paratrooper that jumps with phantom airborne and provide recovery with our boat. It was q great trip.

Stayed at this property before. Lovely home, great vibe with the cute decor. Kitchen newly renovated with new washer & dryer. Good boat trailer parking and awesome property manager. Will stay again.

Lovely Lakehouse getaway

This property has it all. The views of the lake are fabulous from the house, yard, and dock. The sunsets are breath taking. The home offers space for family gathering time but also affords privacy. The kitchen is very "cook friendly" and the grill is great with outdoor dining. Our host was responsive and prompt to communicate. It was a joy to vacation here.

Peaceful and comfortable escape!

Such a wonderful place to relax! The view of the lake was outstanding and the trees with their Spanish moss flowing in the breeze was mesmerizing. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. Pool table was an added bonus. Great location to all nearby attractions. Great place for groups big or small. We will definitely go back.

Beautiful property, lake views, nice older home. Only issue was the massive number of mosquitos in the sunroom secondary to the window not being able to close properly on the left side facing the lake. Hopefully, this gets fixed soon.

amazing house

this place is absolutely beautiful. My brother and I were there for a fishing trip on the Harris Chain of lakes. this property is right on Lake Dora. although we did a fish charter and rented boats, we actually caught a lot of fish right off the boat dock on the property. it definitely exceeded our expectations

Very cute and comfortable cottage on the lake!

We loved the decor at the cottage. It has a colorful mid century vibe. There are gorgeous views of the lake from almost every room. Kitchen was well appointed for cooking. The yard is gorgeous with lots of mature trees. We saw so many birds during our stay - herons, egrets, ducks, osprey and even a bald eagle. Thank you for a nice stay.

Perfect lake house!

We recently stayed at this vacation rental for 3 nights and it was absolutely perfect! The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including games, linens, and comfortable beds. The dock was new and perfect for our 24-foot boat, which we brought over from the Mount Dora marina. The decor was super cool, eclectic, and modern. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to relax, chill, and enjoy time on the lake with friends and family!

Cheerful and bright home

First impression, adorably decorated with excellent natural lighting, huge mature trees, and incredible views of the lake! Love the terrazzo flooring, enjoyed using the vinyl record player & the floorplan was favorable. Clean, stocked well, liked that I could park in the garage with 1 vehicle, comfortable beds, quiet and safe neighborhood, awesome dining room and dinette seating options. We were in town for my son's high school bass fishing tournament. Would be nice if the property had a covered dock, and maybe new washer & dryers. These are very old and loud. Kitchen cabinets are original, so challenging to pull in and out. The driveway has plenty of parking and we parked 2 trucks and 2 boat trailers. However, you must be a skilled driver because backing into the driveway with the way the landscaping is, can be a bit challenging. We will plan on staying again!

Perfect Lake House

We booked this home to stay out to attend the Renningers Extravaganza. It’s located in a beautiful & safe neighborhood that is so central to everything in mount Dora. We were 5 minutes from historical downtown Mount Dora, 15 min from Renningers, publix & Aldi were 10 min away. The home was VERY CLEAN, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed To cook. They have a new, propane bbq along with all of the needed grilling tools. They had a new washer & dryer as well. The house is SPACIOUS! 2 living rooms, large dining room, 3 large bedrooms. Perfect family home, perfect for toddlers, young kids and teenagers to join along (not a lot of things that toddlers or young kids could get into trouble with). GORGEOUS backyard, the sunsets are unbelievable. My husband did some fishing off the lovely dock. All of the furniture is AMAZING vintage mid century furniture, along with vintage cocktail bar cart. There is an amazing kids tot lot about 10 minutes away right next to the Kalua Beach bar. Bring your bikes, bring your lake boat, there’s so much beauty to take in. Just WOW. We had such a wonderful Time just enjoying the house & the view of the lake. We would 100% stay here again!

Fantastic stay. Amazing views, clean home and very accommodating owners.

My family and I had the pleasure of renting this home recently as we were in town for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The house was very clean and was a perfect fit for our family of 5. Upon entering we were immediately impressed with the view of the lake past the huge backyard. We are the owners of an antique wooden boat and felt very fortunate to have the ability to dock within sight of the back porch. Tavares is only a couple miles away by boat and allowed some nice excursions for lunch. The house was an older build like most in the area. However, it was clearly treated to recent updating and new decorating. The pool table was a nice bonus for our teens. For my wife and I, the backyard was a nice place to spend our evenings with a cold drink as the sun went down. We will definitely rent this home again.

Beautiful house!

We were in town for the MLF college bass fishing tourney on the Harris chain. We had 2 trucks & boats and had plenty of parking. The house is spacious and well appointed. Beautiful sunsets! Will definitely stay here again if there are bass tourneys on the lake. Owners are right next door and very friendly.

Cute little house on the lake.

I loved this house! It’s a bit off the beaten path from town but it’s nice to be away from all of the activity sometimes. We had a lovely and relaxing time celebrating a 40th birthday.
