Incredible Views! Stunning log home w/ wrap around deck and covered porch

This 3 bedroom (plus bunk room) log home is located on Angel Fire's prestigious Vail Loop. Situated on nearly 8.5 acres, it has impressive views of Wheeler Peak (NM's highest mountain) and the Moreno Valley. Step inside for rustic southwest charm. The window wall lets in plenty of natural light and the views will take your breath away. Relax in the great room, which features knotty pine walls and ceilings, large wood beams, slate tile flooring and a cute propane stove. Enjoy your favorite movies on the large flat-screened TV. The well-equipped kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a large farm sink. You'll find everything you need to prepare delicious meals. There's also a propane grill on the deck for your outdoor cooking. Upstairs is a sitting room loft and the private master suite. Unwind in the jetted tub. There's a separate walk-in shower and double sinks in the ensuite bath. There are two additional bedrooms, each with a queen bed, on the main level. A full bath and laundry area is also located on the main level. Downstairs is the bunk room perfect for the kids. It features two sets of bunk beds. The bunk room even has its own flat screen TV for the kids to enjoy. The spacious deck beckons. The front deck has the most incredible views. You'll look at majestic Wheeler Peak and down the Moreno Valley. At night the lights of town will twinkle below you while the stars shine from above. The deck features log railings, a picnic table, a propane grill, Adirondack-style chairs. and a fire pit table. This will be your favorite place to sip a glass of wine, savor a hot chocolate or enjoy your morning coffee. Step around the front deck to the beautifully covered side deck. The views just don't stop! You'll find comfy chairs to take in the fresh mountain air and a patio table where you can dine alfresco. Below is a fire pit with wood provided. We recommend 4-wheel or All-wheel drive vehicles for anyone coming to the mountains in the winter. Please note that the driveway is steep and curvy, and will be kept plowed in the winter.

Family friendly property!

We had a fantastic stay! Everything was perfect for our family trip. Property manager was easy to contact and assist us as needed. Definitely will be back and plan on staying here again. You can’t beat the sunset and view from the balcony!

What a View!!!

The description of the property is way undersold, and to the benefit of you the guest. The home is above and beyond what we expected! The views, wow, the crasftsmanship of the construction and the cleanlines of the home all was worth every penny.

Perfect spot

House was close to the slopes so made for an easy drive each day. Property itself was very comfortable- plenty of space for our group of 6. Responsive to questions before and during our stay. We would stay here again.

National Park Quality View!!

This cabin is both beautifully furnished and decorated, creating a peaceful space in which to enjoy fabulous views, birding, and quiet. We are checking our calendar to see when we can return! As seniors (68) we’ve rented many cabins over the years and have never seen such a lovely and accommodating property. Our stay was delightful!

Magnificent property and VIEWS!!

This property was the perfect place for a girls' getaway. Online pictures simply cannot capture the beauty of the views and the overall property. We walked each morning around the quiet neighborhood and explored down the mountain behind the house in the afternoons. Great deck to enjoy coffee and sunrise and to relax in the evenings with a firepit. The home was super clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals there. The property manager was wonderful and very responsive. This place is truly a gem and I look forward to returning again and again.

Peaceful Family Retreat

Amazing in every way - amazing home, views, weather, location, and relaxing. From booking to departure, the entire process and home was an easy, enjoyable experience. The home was spacious, clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The views were spectacular and the wrap around porch invited you outside to enjoy the beauty around the clock. Sunrise to sunset and then the stars including the Milky Way never disappointed. We took advantage of some of the local restaurants, shops and enjoyed the Farmer's Market in the park on Sunday. We could get anything we needed at the local grocery store. If you like to mountain bike or hike trails, you can literally walk/ride from the front door of this beautiful home. The bike park aka ski slopes have something for any level of mountain biking skill. We loved being about 5 minutes from town, bike park/ski resort, and will be back to play a round of golf on course seen from the home at the bottom of the mountain. Close to everything we needed but high up in the mountains were it was quite and peaceful. We enjoyed the family time and relaxed thanks to this amazing property. We are planning our next trip back to this Peaceful Family Retreat.

Beautiful views, but a little dirty.

First, I would like to say that this home is truly beautiful with magnificent views and an easy location--it was a short 10 minute drive to the slopes, and we had no issues at all with the drive. Also, the property manager was very helpful and communicative. They even salted our driveway when I expressed concern about the weather. There are only two real issues that I would complain about at all. The first one is the cleanliness. It wasn't terrible, but under the couch had clearly not been cleaned in a very long time, and the cupboards were completely full of left over food from previous guests. The food wasn't expired, but it was difficult to store our own food. It appears that the cleaning service is not dusting very well, and also, the tub had not been cleaned before we arrived. I am assuming that this is a lack of oversight of the cleaning crew, as it doesn't seem like a "dirty house." The second issue is with the guest bedrooms. There should be dressers in all of the bedrooms, and there were none. I had nowhere to place clothes besides hanging them, and also the bedding was extremely old. The bunk room was actually an odd converted mudroom with no windows, and our kids were actually afraid to sleep in there with the garage door opening into it. It was a very odd room. So, basically, this house would be close to perfect with a true deep clean, new bedding (and towels), dressers in the guest rooms, and some sprucing up in the weird bunk room. Thanks!

Absolutely Amazing!

The owners of this property are performing a public service and an act of kindness by sharing this place with others and allowing them to experience it's serenity and beauty when they are not using it. I hope they continue to do this as we plan to return many times! We have been coming to this area for decades. We love it and even had our own place at one point. Staying at this property continues to remind me why we keep coming back to the Enchanted Circle. The view of the valley from the back deck is almost second to none. The property is awesome... very roomy, lots of trees, lots of wild life to watch, and a fantastic porch. The inside is very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make a home cooked meal. The sectional is super comfortable and the furniture throughout is a perfect match for what you would expect at a nice log cabin in the woods. This place is perfect for a couples getaway or for the family/kids. The bunk room is perfect for the kids. Book it! You won't regret it! A few FYI's so you know what to expect: - If you are familiar with the AF resort area, you know that 99% of the homes in this area are up gravel mountain roads. I wouldn't recommend driving a sedan up to this place if you value your suspension. - The village of Angel Fire is at around 8500 ft elevation, this property is at around 9000 ft.

Great cabin, beautiful views

this is a well maintained and very well stocked cabin, plenty of towels, pots, pans, and dishes. This was refreshing to have as we stay in quite a few rentals every year and most are lacking somewhere. Everything worked as should and the one small issue we had with a gas fireplace remote control was resolved quickly. We will definitely look to stay here again.

Two couple getaway

We absolutely LOVED this place!! We stayed with another couple and we just had the best time. The patio view is incredible to sit out at night with the fire and sit out in the morning with a cup of coffee. We loved the cozy cabin home feel. We would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent location and comfortable property

Many places say they have a great view, but this place really delivered with an unobstructed view of close in and far away peaks, as well as the valley below. The amenities and layout were very nice. We loved best the big, cushy couch in the living room with reclining chairs and the outdoor porches and furniture. The listing doesn't really show the upstairs loft sitting area but it is a nice, significant space to play a game or use your computer. You can hike around the property or up the road if you don't want to drive to the trails (which aren't far away.) The Bakery has very good breakfast for eating in or taking out if you get up to go hiking. The road isn't paved for most of the way from the highway, but it was in very good repair for use by an ordinary car. The driveway is very steep - even with 4 wheel drive, the first turn would be dangerous if there was solid ice. However, there is a parking area at the top of the driveway and at two other levels of the driveway. The property was just as we expected to have a getaway from Texas September heat.
