We enjoyed our stay at El Moro. Hotel was near downtown. Staff was very nice, atmosphere too. Our breakfast was included. Great place to enjoy your afternoon by the pool and party at night . They do play club music all day long, close to midnight. Jope to come back soon.

From the moment we arrived all the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful there was a party that night, so they made sure that we were aware and offered us a few drinks included as well.( we partied until 3 am! ) It is a new place, and not too busy. The manager Robert ensured our whole time there we had everything we needed. Its close to the main strip and easy to find. I would return if in Tamarindo again 5**

I took my parents and the hotel did have cable tv but I asked Robert to help me with the cable TV and he did everything to put it in our room and my dad was able to watch the bull show That was a plus of the staff in the hotel Thank you so much Robert

They never had my reservation even though I booked it awhile back. The room smelled like cigarettes and the AC stopped working randomly at night and the room was so hot! There was so many bugs everywhere. The staff was trying to figure out what was going on but they don’t have an actual receptionist or front desk person to assist you at all. Very weird stay. Don’t recommend if you have kids. Pool party was going on and the people were doing drugs. Some customers walked out after sitting down to eat and seeing that. No words..

No hotel staff.

Hotel Review. There was no hotel staff. We could not find anyone to check in with. No one ever checked us in. The cleaning staff gave us a key after an hour. Very weird situation. We had to get the maintenance crew to move us from the first room because of an Air conditioner leak flooding the floor. After we moved to another room we received an email that said we could not stay at the hotel. rooms just have a bed. No towel racks and the showers don't drain. I cut my foot on some exposed rebar by the outdoor shower in the evening when it was dark. 3 hours later someone called from San Jose and said we could stay there but we never saw or talked with any hotel staff.

Centipedes, No running water, & Unprofessional

The rooms at Elmoro are not suitable. 1) Water in the room did not work 2) Centipedes, spiders & ants found throughout the room, bathroom, and at the foot of the bed I initially booked a 3 night stay through hotels.com however after the first night, immediately went to find an employee to check out and request a refund for the next 2 nights for the 2 reasons mentioned above. The staff said they understood, apologised, and said I needed to request a refund via hotels.com. I asked for confirmation from them either via email or via their WhatsApp phone number to acknowledge that I am indeed checking out and that they agree to the refund. They apparently do not have a check-out process or system and they said giving confirmation via one of their branded channels was not possible as the owner was not currently present and only the owner has access to these channels. They assured me this would be taken care of and that I shouldn’t worry. I insisted on needing something from the hotel before leaving however 3 different employees told me nothing could be done. At this point an hour has passed and I left to go check into the new hotel I booked- Hotel Diria, which is a fantastic establishment and where I recommend you stay if you are in need of accommodation in Tamarindo! Upon requesting the refund via hotels.com, hotels.com said the hotel has refused the refund.
