スタッフの人に朝市があると教えてもらって、行ってみたら、まあ一軒のお店なのですが、楽しかったです。 　車でないと不便なのは致しかたがないと思います。しかしのんびりできます。

Great stay and this wonderful cosy inn. Has a wonderful relaxed retro feel. My family of four loved it. The food is incredible, definitely get the dinner!

Absolutely incredible stay at this authentic ryokan. The staff could not have been more helpful. They had several lovely onsen - some public and some private, the private ones didn’t need to be booked and we were able to use one without issue. The food was absolutely amazing - we booked half board and for dinner we were taken to our own room and brought an incredible array of Japanese foods and breakfast was a similar affair. If you are looking for a more local Japanese experience this is the perfect place!

Ryokan Sansui is a peaceful retreat with beautiful mountain views, private outdoor onsen rooms, and the most dedicated, attentive and kind staff. We felt completely pampered by their service and hospitality. The meals were traditional omekase using local and seasonal ingredients. The food is clearly made with love, pride, and care. The japanese-style room had a sweeping view of the mountains and comfortable futon beds. We had plenty of space to unpack and do our morning yoga in the room. The robes are high quality. The room and the hotel in general are very quiet and peaceful. It is easy to get to the ryokan from the bus stop, just a 2-3 minute walk on the main road.

We had a wonderful stay at Sansuikan. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. Our room had a beautiful mountain view, which made it a very relaxing place to stay. The meals were delicious, with a great variety of authentic local Japanese dishes. The hotel is also conveniently located, with easy access to the bus stop for Kamikochi. We would definitely recommend Sansuikan to anyone visiting the area.

Excellent service, very welcoming. The meals were very tasty and filling. Loved the traditional Japanese breakfast. This is the place to fully relax if you want to get away from the city.

A perfect stay for our family after hiking at Kamikochi. The staff were extremely helpful both beforehand (prompt and detailed messages regarding how to reach there, our dietary needs, etc.) and during our stay. We are vegetarian and they went above and beyond in making our meals special. I honestly don’t even know how to describe how delicious and carefully prepared and served both the dinner and breakfast were. The location is stunning and the Onsen was wonderful. A stay we will never forget!

The dinner meal was the main highlight of our stay: there was sukiyaki, the best miso soup (perfect balance of sweet and salty) with mushrooms, sashimi, tempura with local veggies, chawanmushi etc. I’d argue that this meal was better than some highly rated restaurants in Takayama. The staff were extremely nice and hospitality was great, some knew a bit of English. We enjoyed the public baths.

One of our highlights during the time we spent in Japan. This is a cozy traditional Ryokan. The building is a little older, however that only adds to the charm. Staff were kind, helpful and welcoming. They also offer great dining experiences, where we enjoyed the BEST dinner of our entire trip. Additionally, the private onsen areas were sublime. Views and location is also stunning. Super happy we decided to spend two nights here and strongly recommend!

Amazing spot. The ryokan is run by a very kind family. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and the mountain views from there were impressive. Also, the dinner was unforgettable and delicious. We wish we could have stayed a bit longer to enjoy the beautiful area.
