「A upmarket lodge that was recently refurbished. Our room number 10 was large and tastefully furnished with a large modern bathroom and good amenities. The breakfast and dinner served at the restaurant was high quality. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly.」

「We had a nice time in Takaka and exploring the area. Comfy beds and a good size place for a family holiday. The house and surrounding gardens needed a bit of TLC. It wasn't as clean as we would have hoped. Just needs a bit of a spruce - cobwebs definitely need to be swept away! Probably wouldn't choose to stay here again unfortunately.」

「We arrived and were personally greeted by Steve. I’ve been too many accommodations in my life and I have never had a host like Steve. He was absolutely superb. We originally planned to stay for two nights and because of the.Bonhomie of the place we stayed a total of six days and five nights. We would have stayed all the way to the end of our trip. This was an unexpected find and you have a really open mind. I highly recommended to book this place. Just remember, it’s not the faint heart. 」

「The great rooms and service gave a luxurious feeling in a place with fantastic views and access to a private beach. We loved everything about this place, not least the amazing dinners and breakfasts served by chef Valery who was the most wonderful host/manager during our stay.」

「The place was clean and tidy, well set up for a large group. Sadly my Dad and I arrived late at night so didn’t get to really experience the property much but I could imagine it being a wonderful escape for a big family or group of friends to enjoy. 「We had a wonderful weekend at the Alpaca farm. The eco-cabin is really comfortable and easy to feel at home in. The jacuzzi is really nice. The garden, the scenery and the animals are incredible: you feel like you've stepped out of time. The breakfast is very good, even if the time at which it is served is fixed (no change possible).
