  • Last night we went to a Taoist Temple in Taipei. You can see in the close up picture of people praying how they receive and answer immediately from the prayers. After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. I took a moment to pray, asked my question and got a ying and a yang out of the throw. The belief is, that the result comes from within your own heart.

AC was turned off the day I arrived. They gave me a powerful portable fan however. Even though Jan, room was too warm for me. The room was smaller than I had expected. The staff was very nice and very helpful. I would return but only during season when AC is available.

It's close to two stations, has two lines, and is conveniently located for sightseeing. The room was clean and the bath had plenty of hot water. There was a convenience store and a night market nearby, so it was convenient for daily life.

Staff speak Japanese well. Enough capacity in the breakfast room. The chain lock of the room should be cleaned. Two MRT stations are within 5min walk. Totally speaking, I was satisfied with the service.

Excellent location. If you're a first timer in Taipei you can trust my words - very central, well-connected and in a nice area of the city as well (Zhongshan). The rooms have a kind of antique charm but they're well taken care of. Soundproof (very important in a bustling city such as Taipei) and with blackout curtains. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only thing that was a "no no" for me was the laundry room. You can use if self-service but the logistics of it are terrible, as you have to wait for it to be clear from other guests using it, with every one of them granted up to 3h doing their laundry, and then the machines are very difficult to operate if you're a foreigner and/or not acquainted with those types of machines. Regardless of this, I had a very good stay.

松山空港、桃園空港いずれからもバスで一本の停留場が目の前で非常に便利でした。 当初ホテルに到着後荷物を預けたのですがその際対応したスタッフはニコリともせずあまり感じがよくありませんでした。そのあとのチェックインした際のスタッフは普通でしたが、City Viewの部屋を予約したにもかかわらず建物に囲まれた部屋だったので、フロントに依頼して予約内容通りの部屋に変更してもらいました。部屋の中の清掃具合は、まあ普通で短い髪の毛が少し落ちていたりしましたが見なかったことにしました。移動に関してはMRTの駅から徒歩数分でその間にもコンビニや、Take　Outできる食堂？その他がありとにかく便利でした。ホテルの裏にある夜市は昼間に行ったせいか、期待よりはあまり栄えてませんでしたが、それ以外はとてもよかったです。空港へ行くのも目の前のバス停から乗るだけなので、助かりました。
