The property doesn’t look much from the outside but inside it is lovely. Rooms nice clean and tidy although double bed bit on small side, had a good sleep. Choice of pillows which was nice. Bathroom a good size and shower good. Lovely smelling toiletries. Very good breakfast and choice. Service was very good.

Room was lovely, great restaurant nearby (Platform 1864). We received a welcome gift of sparkling wine as a congratulations for getting married which was a very nice touch.

Touring around Tain

We enjoyed our stay at Edderton Lodge. The initial impression outside did not reflect how lovely it was inside. The room we had was quite small but spotlessly clean and modern. The en-suite was spacious. Our shower was a bit slow to empty but that was dealt with straight away. The breakfast was plentiful with a good range of options. It was around a 10 -15 minute drive into Tain or Dornoch where there are cafes and restaurants. It was a great base for touring the area and only 45 min drive to Inverness. We would definitely use it again. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I got the feeling it was a work in progress and it looks like they are on the right track
