"Married couple own the lodge. They are both very nice and helpful. They have four dogs. One dog bark's a lot. Bora Bora has lots of hungry stray homeless dogs. Perhaps they provided a home to some. Also, there are other houses next to the Lodge. People make noise. Need ear plugs. You need a car or scooter for transportation. "All around—it was an amazing trip. We picked the Westin over all the other motu-based properties based on the reviews of the food because we’re admittedly picky. The food was wonderful, which is apparently not the norm on Bora Bora. Biggest thing I can recommend is working with the fabulous staff of concierges early and often. They went above and beyond—especially Hinatea (sp?). Regardless of where we were on the island, we knew we could always reach out to them at any time and they could solve any logistical problem we had (mostly because we booked restaurant and a photo session on our own prior to arriving). We were originally set up in a room over the water with great views, but close to the hotel, which meant there was a lot of golf cart traffic that passed by our room throughout the day and into the evening (somewhat noisy). The front desk staff was very understanding and moving us to a more remote bungalow wasn’t a problem at all."

"We had a wonderful stay at Royal Bora Bora and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the island. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore Bora Bora and enjoy everything the island has to offer. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a day of adventures. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always available to help with recommendations, transportation, and organizing tours. Their hospitality really made our stay even more enjoyable. One of the best parts of our stay was renting bicycles directly from the hotel. It was a fantastic way to discover the island at our own pace, stopping at beautiful beaches and viewpoints along the way. Royal Bora Bora offers excellent value for money, combining a great location, comfortable rooms, outstanding service, and a relaxed tropical atmosphere. We had an amazing time and would definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Bora Bora!"

"We had an amazing 3-night stay at this resort. The views were absolutely breathtaking. The food exceeded our expectations. Every meal was delicious, with fresh ingredients and great variety. What made our stay even more special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Their warm hospitality made us feel truly relaxed and well taken care of. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely love to come back in the future. Highly recommended!"

"The Villa is an artists vision. A live in artist who has built a villa that blends art , community and the environment that blends into everyday. Valerie was so wonderful, helpful, accomodating and kind. The staff are friendly and the breakfasts are so scrumptious. We loved our days here and could have stayed longer. Well worth it!"

"Beautiful property especially over water bungalows. The staff were very attentive, helpful, friendly and gracious. Everyone from the breakfast staff to the dinner staff were so nice. The water sports team was so nice, one gentleman who competes in the outrigger team accompanied me on my 1st outrigger ride to show me the ropes. The buffet breakfast and French restaurant were delicious. The pool, water sports, restaurants, reef rebuilds are amazing parts of this resort. I would definitely highly recommend this place and go back but after the construction is complete. There was a lot of construction on the property, which was not mentioned prior on the Expedia website, which was disappointing. You will hear saws, drills and hammers in the distant. Also, construction teams will ride by your over the water bungalows around 8:15- 8:30am, during the day and 4:15-4:30pm. They try to stay a bit further out in distance vs the bungalows. I wished this was disclosed on Expedia’s website."
