Sicily at its best: Beautiful Villa Gialla with pool, close to sandy beaches

Mediterranean style Villa Gialla sits enthroned on Isola di Siracusa – the small peninsula south of Syracuse - and only 700 m from the sea. The holiday home which rises upon a 20,000 m² property with lush vegetation and spacious garden and pool offers a simply unique view.
Due to its location on a hill, guests meet with a view across the evergreen landscape of the peninsula, which is partly a nature reserve, of both sides of the sea hugging the peninsula's shores and of the town of Syracuse, the town rich in history on the opposite side. The holiday home:
Villa Gialla is located on a property where you also find a pool for shared use as well as a reception, 10 guest rooms B&B Il Casale and the holiday homes Villa Bianca and Villa Antica. Villa Gialla lies somewhat apart, above the pool, and offers central heating and a washing machine.
You can park your car on the fenced premises.

Ground floor:
Entering the house via the ground floor terrace takes you into the open-plan living-dining area with comfortable sofa, TV and dinette. One of the two bathrooms (shower/WC/bidet) of Villa Gialla is to be found on the ground floor, just like the kitchen, which includes a gas stove, a free-standing oven as well as a refrigerator with freezer compartment.
The spacious, lower terrace is furnished with several seating accommodations, a small table, a sunlounger and a sun shade.

Upper floor:
On the upper floor, there is another bathroom (bathtub/WC/bidet). Each of the two bedrooms offers a double bed, a wardrobe and a mosquito net. In one of the rooms, there is a pull-out sofa which can be used as a sleeping facility for a fifth person. The upper floor gives access to the sea view balcony with seating accommodations.

The pool:
The pool, 18 m long, is ideal for enthusiastic swimmers to do their laps. It is open from June to October and may even be on warm spring and autumn days (changes due to weather conditions possible).
At the pool bar, open during high season, you can buy snacks and drinks, comfortable sunbeds invite you to relax in the sun.
A panorama jogging trail has been laid out round the pool. Thus, athletes get their money's worth, too.

Surroundings:
Restaurants and shopping facilities are about one to two km off. The nearest sandy beach is 1.6 km off.

Destinations for excursions:
The gorgeous centro storico of Syracuse, 7 km off, fascinates you with its numerous monuments, majestic cathedral and millennia old history.
In ancient times, Syracuse counted among the most powerful towns of the world then known and Cicero called it the most beautiful and greatest of all Greek towns.
Within a radius of 10 km, lie the town of Syracuse, the long sandy beach of Fontane Bianche as well as the nature reserve of Fiume Ciane e Saline di Siracusa.
About 30 km south of Syracuse, you can visit the Baroque towns of Avola and Noto as well as the famous nature reserve of Oasi Vendicari, where migratory birds take a break during their journey to Africa in winter.
The latter is a place of rest for migratory birds on their way to Africa in winter and invites visitors to go for a swim at its marvelous beaches.
In the hinterland of Syracuse, the necropolis of Pantálica with its 5000 tomb caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the deep gorge of the Anapo river await you at nature reserve „Riserva Naturale Orientata“.
