I absolutely loved this property! What a unique idea, to build 4 rooms above the marina's restaurant. The views from our room were amazing - even at night when the boats and docks were all lit up with lights. Just gorgeous. Very peaceful. Also the in room coffee was delicious - I could have sat there drinking coffee and looking out at the view all day! I will keep this place in mind for a future "getaway."

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in room 4 overlooking the marina. We also enjoyed eating in the restaurant that evening. The room was excellent, clean and comfortable. We sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the quiet peaceful evening. The meal was excellent and the view of the water made it nice. Our food came out hot and delicious. My only comment would be that the hushpuppies were either undercooked, too dry and not really edible. We asked the waitress about them, and she said that is how they come. Maybe the chef can compare them to other restaurant's hushpuppies. Everything else was excellent. We highly recommend the Seafood Company lodging and restaurant.

We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn.

A nice one-night stay, complete with a dramatic sunset. Two things to know: there are no breakfast restaurants nearby, and the bedroom, while private, doesn’t have a window. Oh, and 25 stairs to get to the room level, which was a challenge for us but for others will be a non-issue. The seafood restaurant downstairs is perfect for lunch and dinner, and the free ferry to Jamestown is incredibly convenient.

The view is phenomenal, we enjoyed every minute. No cooking in the room however there is a fridge and microwave along with plates, glasses, cups, etc. Tranquility is offered here especially this time of year late April. THE STAFF DEFINITELY CARES ABOUT HOSPITALITY!

The the housekeeping staff were efficient and respectful. The front desk staff answered my questions knowledgeably and pleasantly. Of all the staff associated with Surry Seafood Co. I personally interacted the most with the restaurant staff. Everyday of my stay I was there enjoying a meal, whether it be lunch or dinner. All of the staff are incredibly helpful and jovial. Bo, was my server every time I dined and she is exceptional. If you need something or have special modifications, she's got you,for real! She is the best. Enjoy the scenery with the water fowl, birds flittin',fish jumping, breeze blowing and shimmery sunshine. It is so serene and absolutely breathtaking at sunset on a clear evening, you'll need your shades, though for it is bright with the reflection off the water. Go and be happy! Surry and the surrounding areas are lovely as well and have interesting historic sites, check 'em out.
