Pros: Close (walkable) to everything in the Sun Valley resort area, with access to pool, hot tub, tennis courts, etc. as condo amenities. Easy to park. Appliances and utensils are all there and in working order. Newly updated walk-in shower. Good value for money.
Cons: Although apparently it's been replaced recently, we found the mattress too soft and not quite level. Only 2 windows, and only one of them opens, so dark and stuffy, especially in warm weather. No washer/dryer. Decor is dated. No deadbolt or way to secure the door from inside, just a keyed door handle lock.
We've been coming to Sun Valley for several years running so our kids can participate in the summer music institute. This year we tried renting a condo instead of pitching our tent at the lovely Sawtooth National Forest campground up the road. I think we'll be back at the campground next year. Sun Valley rentals (we've seen friends' rentals too) feel less like someone's home or extra unit rented out for some extra cash and more like worn, full-time vacation rentals used hard to maximize income and minimize expense. No personal touches. No human contact. YGWYPF (you get what you pay for) and nothing more.
