This charming holiday home is located just 10 meters from the shores of Lake Maggiore on Isola Superiore Pescatori. Comprising three delightful flats with stunning lake views, the property is tastefully furnished, featuring some period furniture. The house is just 0.5 km from the town center, where you’ll find supermarkets and restaurants. Isola Superiore Pescatori is the only permanently inhabited island in the Borromean Islands archipelago. It is 350 meters long and 100 meters wide, with a small village, narrow alleys, a lakefront, and a main street. The island has 50 residents who make a living from fishing and tourism. With a history of at least 700 years, the island offers a tree-lined belvedere, local handicrafts for sale, and several quaint restaurants specializing in fish dishes. There are small beaches on both sides of the island, ideal for relaxation. Cars are not allowed on the island; they must be parked in public or private car parks in Stresa or Baveno, where you can take a public boat or taxi-boat to the island. The friendly owner can also arrange motorboat transfers for a small fee (starting at €10). Though on a small island, the flat provides excellent WiFi, keeping you connected to the outside world while you enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Lake Maggiore, its islands, villas, gardens, and picturesque villages.
