"We stayed here as a base for the Game Fair and it was a great location for that. We didn’t really explore the area much but we did get pizza from The Hertford which was good. There wasn’t any garden chairs and is it was lovely weather this was a bit amid a shame as the domino was in the courtyard a fair bit. The cottage was pretty, tidy, clean and cosy. "This is a basic hotel. It's clean, which is always appreciated, but if you want your room cleaned during your stay, there's an upcharge. The rooms are extremely tight. I booked two twins so that I would have some place to open my luggage. There are no closets and there isn't a safe. Coffee/tea are available for a fee. The bed was comfortable. The staff was present, but not proactive. This is the best of no-frills. All of that being said, it's a great location with easy access to cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. It's about a 15-20 minute ride into Oxford Center and the bus stop is just a short 3 minute walk away. With frequent buses and a daily bus pass, it's a much more affordable option than staying in Oxford proper."
