"The House of 1833 is a beautiful old home with an amazing collection of antiques. It is surrounded by old English style gardens. In late September we were a bit too early for fall colors. The owner is delightful and helpful and the food was wonderful! "

"Best staff friendliness of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Every single employee feels like they're totally bought into the customer's experience. The food at Kensington's / Ascot's was some of the very best of the area. Hotel and amenities all extremely clean.
Only cons are that many of the older doors in the rooms don't close flush and need rehanging, the ac power pass-throughs under the lamps are very flimsy and one of them didn't even work during my previous stay, and the showers while gorgeous have the sliding door positioned opposite the shower heads so if you didn't preposition the heads the aim at the wall they'll spray you when you reach in to turn the water on. "
"The house was clean and well stocked with many creature comforts; coffee, toiletries, and even laundry detergent. The house is older, but very comfortable and well kept. The only downside, if any, is the driveway that is steep and gravel as opposed blacktop with a tricky intersection. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and it was absolutely perfect for our family. "
"We enjoyed our stay while visiting Mystic Aquarium. The game room was fun- lots of good competition. We didn’t try out the hot tub, the weather was little too cold for us. Overall a great time and would rent again."
