"We had the unfortunate luck to stay at the Alpena Ramada during a disaster--major ice/snow storm! Due to this, it was impossible to keep the parking lot and sidewalks cleared. We also lost power for several hours, losing heat, etc. This hotel was the only hotel in the area that had a generator so for that we were lucky. We could charge cell phones, minimal use of microwave, and stay comfortable. The staff did everything in their power to accommodate their guests and did it with a smile. I hope to use this sight again when conditions are not so stressful. "

"The staff were nice and friendly, my only grip was that the kitchen area was not that clean when I arrived. There was a sticky stain next to the trashcan and there was some sort of dust/paper material under vent in the bathroom. I just kinda wet a paper towel with the dish soap they provided. But overall, it was alright. The location is close to big brand stores and resteraunts. So it was very coinvent. "

"The quaint place was just as described. Very well kept with nice appointments. The location was perfect for us. It has a beautiful view of the lake across the road. The weather wasn’t conducive to try the hot tub. Next time! Deborah was the PERFECT host. She answered all communications in a timely matter. And, meeting her was a pleasure. I would highly recommend."

"Nice, clean, and private cottage. Only sad part was we never were able to try the restaurant because they never plowed/opened it. Not a good spot for on-site dining during the winter. Waterfront was also snowed-in and not plowed so we never got a good look at that either."

"We stayed at the cabin mostly just for nights to have a peaceful night sleep with the kids. We were in MI for a small reunion at the family hunting camp. The cabin was perfect for chill time and relaxing looking out at the snow covered trees. "

"Was a perfect little cabin for us to relax. Not far from towns. Slept great on the bed! Wish the furniture was a little more comfy but wasn't terrible. View of lake is perfect "

"We spent 11 days at the cottage while visiting our hometown for our wedding. The location was perfect and the cottage had plenty of space to entertain any guests that visited. Our favorite part was the sunrises and sunsets as you get a truly exceptional experience of both at this location. The hosts made us feel right at home and were always immediately available for any questions we had. We will definitely stay here again as well as recommend this place to our friends and family that reside there. "
