"Wonderful breakfast. Lovely spacious room. Staff lovely and accommodating. Nice to have the bar next door for a meal. The only downside was the noise from the bar in the evening and busy area in the morning but our room was by the road."

"Only issue(s) for us was:Keys did not work in the hole easily to actually open the property as the wood has swollen so needed to call the agents to understand this.Also, the property is at the end of a bit of a hike up hill, not really fit for a buggy or a wheelchair. This isn't clear from the website. We have a newborn and a 3 yr old - so, although it's an adventure, etc it's not super easy to get in and out of the property. It's a lovely rental though, it really is.ta"

House in Hastings Old Town

"This was a wonderful historic property which was beautifully styled with amazing views from all the front facing rooms. We were a family visiting to celebrate my mum's 90th birthday. Within easy walking distance of the Old Town, shops, restaurants and the sea, the house had everything that you would need for a large party gathering. Just a few comments and pointers for improvement/future guests. What is not clear from the property description is that to get to the entrance to the property from street level there is a steep and uneven set of steps with a handrail for only part of the way. This would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. There is no on site parking as described, only street parking some distance away. The outside space shown on the property description is not fit for use and indeed was considered by one of our party to be a health hazard with pigeons roosting above and the area accordingly affected. The property is lovely but attention needs to be give to maintenance and cleaning routines. Whilst the housekeeper was lovely and super responsive, the owner did not provide a substantive response to the two issues we raised during and after our stay. We are not particularly fussy but felt it important to ensure that other potential guests know of our experience which is not consistent with the other reviews. Great property but just some issues which could be easily addressed to make this a perfect place to stay."

"This was an excellent property. Exactly what was advert and we had an amazing time. The place was in a brilliant location, was comfortable and well-resourced and value for money. I loved the quirky mix of history and modern confort. Would definitely stay again."
