Not very welcoming. However we got a place where to sleep while visiting Saint Pierre. Would leave this place as a last option if anything else is available, even if the price is higher somewhere else. Only plus was that this property is very close to the harbor and shopping area.

The staff there were helpful but a little hard to get ahold of. The accommodations are basic but well cleaned. The manager was very helpful. As a budget friendly accommodation it was well worth it.

For being in Saint Pierre for my first time. I really enjoyed being there. Was welcomed with a friendly face. Even though I can't speak french. Location was pretty good everything was approximately 10 minutes or less in either direction. Would definitely stayed there again

It is a small operation, but we'll maintained and clean. The host was there to welcome us. And helped us get situated. There is a full kitchen so if you want to pick up some groceries from a local store you could make your own meal. There was a laundry area, which I'm guessing we could have used...but we didn't. For the price it was very good. Let's face it, you are here to explore the town, not stay in a hotel room.

The room was relatively clean. The bed was rock hard, the shower had a big leak and you can hear everything in the other apartments. Like we could here our neighbour snoring and they weren’t even snoring loudly. There’s a notice on Expedia from this property that says you will receive check in and lock box info via email the day before. We didn’t get an email and were worried we would run into issues because of it. Someone just handed us the key and told us a room number when we arrived. So there is no lockbox or info you need before hand.

When I checked in someone guessed my name, directed me to the room, gave me the key and told me the wifi (long and not easy to remember not in written). The bedroom was untidy and not clean. Ceiling tiles broken, no smoke detector, bathroom without shampoo or bath soap, only liquid hand soap. Garbage can in washroom with no plastic bag. Fridge dirty with a bottle of water open. Furnitures broken (desk without 3 drawers). Bed made with fitted bedsheet and comforter, without flat bedsheet. TV with broken screen and not working condition.

Fire escape definitely needs some work, otherwise property & room was spacious and had everything you needed to cook any meal during your stay. Oven stove top plates cups glasses etc. common area downstairs had books, laundry irons, hair dryer to borrow if needed. The host was very helpful upon check in despite not knowing how to speak English very well and me not knowing how to speak French very well. Be sure to have a translator app on your phone or learn to speak French as I found not many that I ran into spoke English. There are a number of shops all around town however, do not plan on getting anything on a Sunday. Not much is open and reservations are needed almost every where you go in the evening when restaurants open for only 3 -4 hours. There are a couple of convenience stores around, they are pricey. Spend about $100 euros just for some basic items to eat for the day as nothing was open. Definitely a pricey town, so be prepared for the sticker shock. Bring a euro charger adapter as they have the same electrical outlets as France. I did any it worked fine for all my charging needed.

It is a crime that they can charge so much for such a dump. Three windows were sealed shut so we couldn't get a cross breeze, and no fan was provided. Some previous occupant's pants were hanging on the curtain rod. The bed was cheap and not supportive. Half the bathroom shower door was missing altogether, causing us to have to squeeze into a corner to shower to avoid spraying water everywhere. Inside the shower, black mildew in the door track. No hand soap in the bathroom. Lights burned out or broken. Cobwebs in the light fixtures. Could not find a switch that would turn on the light over the bed. The owner was difficult to communicate with, and did not seem to understand that we couldn't telephone him/her with our Canadian phones. All in all it was an unpleasant experience and a ripoff.
