"Our stay here was lovely. The property itself and room was nice. The restaurant area with included breakfast was very pretty and had a lot of charm. Jennifer, the server was a friendly addition and knew our morning order by the second day. We were disappointed that by 9pm all the outdoor lights and music were shut off by the pool/courtyard. We found this to be really early, particularly after a full day when you look forward to quietly relaxing with a glass of wine. This was true all 3 evening we stayed, which was a shame as they have beautiful lighting that adds to ambiance. This place has a lot of character and charm. It was in a lovely location. I would recommend overall and was great value."

"My bed sheets wasn’t changed it was used over and over the lighting in the rooms are horrible you can’t see anything. "

"We stayed here four nights before catching a sailing ship. While not luxurious, this hotel was perfect for our needs. The decor was dated but everything in the room was clean. Sheets clean. The mattress was a little firmer than I prefer but fine for short term. No hot water in the kitchen sink or bathroom sink but the hot water and water pressure in shower were wonderful. Daily maid service. Kitchenette had cups, plates, utensils. Bring your own coffee. We brought cone fillets but there were some in room. Fridge kept things cold. No I’ve machine on floor but when asked the clerk got me a small ice bucket full. The pool was clean and refreshing. Desk clerks responded quickly to any requests. It is in a neighborhood. The Marigot market is 0.8 miles away to walk. It took a couple of tries to find best, quickest route. From front door - turn right for a cute bakery open till 6p. From front door go left to a grocery store with plenty of snacks, drinks. Go left to walk to town and follow road to main thoroughfare, go left, then right at Rue de Republic. Then straight to waterfront, market and restaurants. We pulled our suitcases to waterfront to catch boat. It was bumpy but fine. You could take a taxi. Probably 10 euro. "

"THE BEACH VIEW WAS UNOBSTRUCTED AND USED THE POOL MOST DAYS . Studio was a short walk to wine store and nice cheese shop as well as lots of nice restaurants "

"Where do we even begin. The home was gorgeous and very well appointed with a fantastic view overlooking the ocean. Lots of nice retractable awnings for shade as well. Julia was a great host. Very responsive and accommodating to all of our needs. The turtles she has in the yard were a big highlight for us. Watching them eat and roam everyday was so fun to watch. She has many of them big and small. The beach is about ten minutes walk from the house to get to friars bay and then another 8 minutes over the mountain to happy bay( worth the walk). Happy bay is the nicest beach we saw by far all over the island. Very serene and quiet and untouched almost by tourism which was refreshing to see. The pool at the villa was great and so refreshing to hop into after long days at the beach. I would 1000% percent stay here again and highly recommend to my friends. Great vacation all around and we are so happy we chose to stay on friars beach vs other more popular beaches. Less hustle and bustle. Thank you Julia for the fantastic stay. You are an amazing hostess! "

"I think it was an excellent place set back off the road here sounds outside at night so relaxing. The one bedroom was very clean washing machine and dryer on site and the management is the kind of people you want to meet when you go to an island they cleaned the entire room, bathroom towels every other day it was very nice!!!! my number one choice in May 26’"

"Hi - The place was booked, confirmed and paid for; but the host did not show. Vrbo support called the host and the host took the property off the site saying it was no longer available. Vrbo per say in dealing with the situation went up and beyond to help. We had no where to stay on St Maarten with the island fully booked on the Valentines day week-end. The host didn't care but Vrbo did. There should be some sort of financial penalty for hosts for this sort of behavior. "
