Absolutely Wonderful

We just returned from a week stay at this beautiful property!! The pictures do not do it justice!! Everything was clean, spacious, lots of areas for our group of 11 to spend time together or be separated for down time! The location is perfect! Just steps to the beach and close enough to restaurants, ice cream, and the lighthouse to be able to walk! We had a couple of issues but the management was quick to respond and everything was taken care of in a very timely manner!! We will definitely be back on our next trip to St. George Island!

Perfect location!

We had a fantastic stay at Sol Mate. It is in the perfect location with the beach right across the street and walking distance to Blue Parrot. We had plenty of room for 3 couples and two teenagers. It was so nice to sit on the deck in the mornings for coffee and in the afternoons for cocktails. The pool was really an added bonus because we had some extremely hot days and needed to cool off. Property management called and checked in to make sure everything was okay after the first day or two, which was unexpected, but nice to know they were available if there were any issues. Be aware that the washer and dryer are under the house off the carport, so traveling up and down two sets of stairs is involved. However, this certainly was not a significant issue and I would highly recommend this rental house.

Great location, nice home for family getaway

We had a great stay at Sol Mate! The location is convenient to beach access and the home is even more spacious than expected. We had everything we needed and more - extra beach gear, well equipped kitchen with plenty of pots/pans and utensils, outdoor grill and dining, spacious bedrooms, etc. Only critique to be aware of would be the bathrooms are a bit outdated. The pool was great for a break from the beach. A great house for family time!

Sol Mate

Property was comfortable and we enjoyed it. Some updates are needed, such as the cracked countertops, and bathroom fixtures. Several of the toilets need to be fixed, they didnt flush well. The ice maker didn't work due to water filter needing replacement. It was a wonderful location. A great week, even with these little things.

Really Chillin!!

We stay on the island every year and this place was the best for everything. The views and having access to everything such as beach, stores, restaurants, and playground. Not to mention the cleaning staff, AMAZING!! I was very impressed how clean everything was, Will be back!!

Perfect

Sol Mate was a perfect stay for me and my family. We had 11 people from age ranges of 2-69. We were all comfortable inside the house and had plenty to do outside. The pool is perfect for when you and the kids need a break from the beach. Everything is so spacious; the house, the porch and the property. We had fun exploring the property looking for lizards. Also, the walk to the beach is very convenient. We had an amazing trip and hope that we will have to opportunity to come here again next year. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! :) P.s. The fire ants were bad down in the garage area, don't know if this is normal for this time of year, but just wanted to let you know. Thanks again!

Spontaneous Beach Trip with Family & Friends

Great location

This house was well kept, and it was well supplied. The place was clean. What we loved most was the fact that were right across from easy access to the beach, had a nice view of the beach but were also within walking distance to the store and several restaurants. We had toddlers and also loved that a small playground was located just behind the lighthouse which was just down the street from the house. The pool was nice to swim in, particularly at night when you really don’t want to go down to swim at the beach in the dark. The one thing of note is that the only way into this house is a flight of stairs up the front of the house and the stairs are not covered so when it rains you get wet. For anyone who has difficulty with stairs I would seek other accommodations. But otherwise this was a wonderful week for our family in a house that met our needs. The check in and out was an easy process.

Great location & perfect for families

This property is only a few miles from the entrance of the island with a great location. We went with another family and their two kids. Each couple had their own king suites and the kids had a bunk room and an additional king bedroom. The layout is perfect as well! Open kitchen/ living room with amazing view of the ocean from both areas. Definitely would start again!

Gorgeous view!!

We stayed on SGI at Sol Mate mid May to celebrate my husbands 50th! We had a group of 6 adults and 4 kids ranging in age from 12-15, the house was perfect for all of us!! The front porch with a view of the gulf was perfect and the pool was a hit since the water was pretty rough all week. The house had most things we needed to make meals except a crock pot . Loved the parking area the boys played corn hole at night . We all loved our stay!!!

Great house for a getaway

Loved our stay in this home. Very comfortable for our family of four. Kitchen was stocked with most needed items, beds were comfortable, large living/dining/kitchen area was great for visiting while cooking. The pool was perfect & the easy beach access was a definite bonus. Walking distance to the center of the island, too! Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location

This house has the perfect view & location. There is a ton of room to spread out in. The property is well-maintained and the home was extremely clean. The property manager communicated quickly & professionally with us throughout our stay. We would definitely return to this property!

Outstanding Location/Very Nice House

This house was just right for our family vacation that included adults and children. The location is right across the street from the gulf with unobstructed views across a vacant lot. The layout of the home was perfect for 2-3 families with bedrooms and bathrooms set off the main living area. The heated pool was medium-sized but just right for adult relaxation and children's play. The house is near to the central area of the island (easy walking distance) but far enough away to not feel busy. The island itself is very quiet and family oriented. The property manager (Jamie) was outstanding as she quickly responded to all of our questions, including recommendations about the local area. We had one very small problem which was quickly fixed. We highly recommend this property and have every intention of using this house again next fall.

Great location! Beautiful views

Large open kitchen and family room. The only disappointment was the outdoor grill was old/rusted and didn't work. I called for service w/property manager, but they never responded. Given the size of our group and purpose of our visit this was definitely a bummer. First visit to St. George Island - very low key and family friendly. Loved the area.
