The recreational opportunities at Las Palmas seemed to be good. Our room was in the slum of the resort. Before getting to the room the elevator was filthy & stinky, A guardrail for the stairs was loose & dangerous. The door handle for the room was very loose nearly falling off. In the kitchen the faucet was very hard to turn, I was concerned about breaking it. The garbage disposal switch was located inside of a cabinet, strangely enough! There were scratches on the cabinets and none of the furniture matched making it seem like it was furnished at a thrift store. I received a text during our stay, saying mgmt hoped we were having a 5 star experience. I replied saying based on the room we were barely having a 1 star experience & if this were a hotel we would have asked for a different room or gone somewhere else. I'm sure the recreational opportunities at this resort were very good, but if one is not happy with or comfortable in the room it does no good. Also, I called asking for a reduction in the amount we were paying because our daughter had surgery and we would not be arriving at our scheduled time and the person I spoke with said she would talk to management and call me back, but she never did. So, I'm very unhappy with the room and the lack of response when asking for assistance.
