Located 20 feet to the Matanzas River and within walking distance of the fort and all the downtown attractions, this home is cheerfully bright, and thoughtfully decorated. The Little Yellow Cottage has a relaxing layout with one king bedroom, 1 bedroom with a twin day bed, full kitchen, cheerful dining, cozy living space, large front porch, and fenced courtyard in the back. You will be enamored by the historic detail in the master bathroom and throughout the entire home! Every detail has been thought of! Enjoy the restored original hardwood floors, clean and cozy furniture, and retro/historic details. Cook "at home" in the fully stocked kitchen, and rest well with crisp white linens and soft bath towels which are provided for you. A morning cup of coffee in the private courtyard will taste great just before heading out to explore. Enjoy a glass of wine on the front porch in the evenings after taking a walk in this beautiful neighborhood or along the waterfront.

The convenience of the Little Yellow Cottage can't be beat! It is a 7-8 minute walk straight down Water Street to the Fort, the Visitor's Center and St. George Street, and all of the downtown area. Hop in your car or on your bike and Vilano Beach or Anastasia Island State Park is just a short 3 mile ride away along with the Ampitheatre, Alligator Farm, and St. Augustine Lighthouse. There an ecclectic mix of fun, antique shops, local great eateries and bars including Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille and St. Augustine Distillery.

Noise Ordinance: The city of St. Augustine has a noise ordinance that prohibits noise between the hours of 10:00pm-6:00am Sunday-Thursday, and 11:00pm-7:00am Friday-Saturday. Violations can result in a $500 fee.

Historic Water Street Cottage

Great location on a quiet , safe neighborhood. Accommodations very nice, clean, spacious. Many amenities in kitchen and bathroom. Communication was great. Good place for a family with complete kitchen and a dining room and three tv’s in the house. Parking for only one car really.

Great little house

This house is in a perfect location for walking into the historic part of town in a few minutes, and generally being able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The house was clean and well stocked. Size was perfect for my wife and I. It would have been a bit cramped if we tried to have two couples there, but I imagine it would have been doable.

Historic Lovely Yellow cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yellow Cottage on Waters! It is evident that the owners have put a lot of work into this historic home to bring it up to date with all the amenities you could ask for. The a/c worked very well, the main bath was very spacious, very nice kitchen with all new appliances working well. Full dining room and cozy living room decorated tastefully. The second bedroom was spacious and nicely decorated as well. The master bedroom had one of the most comfortable mattresses ever! We will definitely stay in this home on future visits!

Exact what we were dreaming of

From the moment I spotted this sweet little cottage online, I knew I would love it. If you’re into old charm & imperfect perfection, you found her! SO MUCH to do within walking distance, shopping, restaurants of all kinds, music,(karaoke at Borillos) sightseeing (museums, trolley tour of the city, Fountain of Youth) short drive to beaches, lighthouse, more shopping & restaurants, Alligator Farm…it was just nice to hang out in the back courtyard for evening cocktails, or on the front porch for morning coffees, playing Scrabble & reading…my only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer (oh, & the water smells pretty funky!) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This was a perfect place to stay. The little yellow cottage was full.of old time charm with modern comforts. It was on a private street, yet close enough to walk anywhere in old town. Plus a very short dtive to vilano beach or anastasia island. Highly recommend and will be going back

Our entire visit to the area was wonderful and the house and location were excellent. We were able to walk to almost every destination. The home has great historic character, was nicely put together, well supplied and very comfortable for relaxing.

Great Location

This house is in a great location. Near the fort and downtown. It has been some what remodeled, but could use more. The wood floors in the living and dining room have been refinished and the bedroom has new floors. However, the linoleum in the kitchen needs replacing. It is old, chipped and dirty looking, as are the baseboards. But the house was not dirty. Everything was very clean. But the old linoleum makes it look dirty. The shower head needs a serious deliming. Having said that the kitchen was extremely well stocked! Also the communication with David was amazing. He was quick to answer any questions. We travel all over the world, so feel it is important to be honest, as I rely on the reviews.
