「Convenient and clean」

「Hotel location was superb, staff was extremely helpful, check-in was a breeze, bed was really comfortable & the kitchenette with a small refrigerator came in very handy. The hotel is historic with various period furniture pieces in every room (our queen bed was most impressive) but while the lobby has been nicely updated, the carpeting on the staircase & in the hallways definitely needs upgrading. Sadly, fruit flies swarmed our glasses of red wine for 2 nights in succession which didn't add to...

「It is an older motel built probably in the 1960's. The rooms are smallish. It was probably quite beautiful back in the day. One can see that the property needs attention . . . the little fence at the entrance is rotten; the stone figurines have decayed; the asphalt driveway has sunk in a few places, etc. What is to be admired . . . the incredible variety of trees creating a glorious shade over the property on those hot days . . . it is out of the way and yet just minutes from the main drag ....
