"I would not recommend staying at the Presque Isle Hotel. It was, without question, the dirtiest and most run-down hotel I’ve ever experienced. We arrived to check in at 6:00 p.m., despite check-in being 3:00 p.m., only to find our assigned room still being cleaned. There were empty bottles, garbage, and other debris throughout the room. "Close to airport, free parking. Staff was accommodating. Breakfast was a version of a continental breakfast. Coffee was a Keurig, which I don’t care for. Room dated but clean."

"The location is peacefully secluded off Rt1 and the restaurant is top notch. Management is friendly and extremely accomodating. The locals eat here, so you know it's good."

"It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter.
