Interesting place to stay. Off the beaten path and no dining in town. I picked the location as I was traveling scenic backroads and the stay was on my path. Older rooms and furnishings.

Fantastic historic house in downtown Springfield, VT. A wonderful place to spend an evening or the weekend. Close to state parks, great restaurants, and kayaking. Wonderful place for a getaway.

What a beautiful place! A quick move back in time to some really lovely spaces. The coffee and pastries were excellent and so appreciated, and the room and bed were delightful We really enjoyed our weekend away.

The historic property was beautifully landscaped and maintained from the front lawn and parking to the features in the back yard, including short shaded woodland trails. The interior of the historic home was lovely, clean, and welcoming with ample seating and window views, tea, coffee, etc., and snacks. The most comforting aspect of our stay was the hostess, sharing the history of the property and former owners, and offering a tour. The hostess and staff were sincere, kind and so helpful! I intend to stay at this place again!

Beautiful grounds and common areas. Room was plain which was fine but a/c was inefficient and the bed was just ok. K-cups are not coffee in my book, and we had better pastry elsewhere. The location was great for us, the town is cute. Everything was closed on Sunday so we headed to Chester which is close and adorable too. All the towns shut down early so plan accordingly even restaurants and ice cream places. Vermont is gorgeous and friendly. If you get a chance, do go.

I love staying at historic houses and this one was absolutely beautiful. I had breakfast in the window seat. The grounds were beautiful to look at. The bed was comfy. I loved opening my window and allowing the fresh forest air into the room. The hotel staff were so nice. The breakfast was baked muffins, croissants, banana breads, fruit, teas and coffee. The only deal breaker for me was the tub. After a week of hiking in the forest all I wanted was to soak in a tub and there was no drain or switch to stop the water from draining. I had to use a wash cloth as a stopper and that only worked so much. I also wished I had been housed in the historic home directly but instead it’s in rows of housing attached to the home. Still I did love this experience and would definitely come again and bring my own stopper.

Quaint stay in Springfield, VT in a 1904 built mansion which is a National Historic Landmark. Wonderful room in the attached hotel adjacent to the mansion. The rooms were beautiful and the mansion itself had a coffee & drink station in a beautiful reading room complete with grand piano, 1920s-era music, and a library. The property is quiet but close to the downtown. It's a 12 minute walk to the downtown area. The Copper Fox is a must try restaurant. The atmosphere and experience can't be beat. My wife and I will be returning in the future.

The house was beautiful and very nice. It was a self check in and I did speak to one person as I was checking in who was also very nice. We stayed in the hotel part and the beds were very small. Plus side it was a quiet area and we were not disturbed. Air conditioning work great. Downside, we never saw another staff member accept when we checked in. No one was around anywhere. There was a dining room but it was closed. When we checked out it was a self checkout and I had no one to give my key to so I left it on the counter. Just a very strange experience
