  • This lovely home is nestled in the heart of a quiet neighborhood in southern Springfield. You are will find everything you need just minutes away from this location. Bass Pro and Wonders of Wildlife is 3 minutes down the road; dining at various restaurants will be a breeze with a Japanese Stake house, Gastro Pub or world-class BBQ all under 5 minutes from you. Your children will enjoy swinging, sliding and climbing at the fun playground waiting in walking distance across the next street. Gather friends and family in the private backyard to grill up a tasty meal on the gas grill or roast marshmallows around the fire pit. The highspeed wireless internet will allow you to surf the web or pull up your favorite shows and movies on the smart TV. Brew yourself up a hot cup of coffee with the Keurig or make enough for all with the standard drip pot. Unwind in the walk-in shower or soak in the tub amidst one of the tastefully remodeled bathrooms. The Cardinal House was so cute and cozy. It had games for all ages, plenty of beds with soft sheets, and a large fenced in backyard. It was a perfect place to stay for a weekend trip to Springfield. I would highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful time. The house is older but up-fitted with new features throughout and was very clean. Communication with the owner was great and they were very accommodating to our requests. I would absolutely stay here again.

The property was very clean and exactly as described. The king bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking essentials. The shampoo, condition, and body wash were good brands that smell great. The backyard has a nice sitting area and is fully fenced, providing security for our fur-baby. As we are starting to get older, the king bed and toilets are a bit low. At the time of our stay, the front bush was hiding the house number, making it difficult to identify when we arrived after dark. The host was very communicative and quick to respond. Overall, this was a great place to stay. We'll definitely be back!

Coming from Phoenix Arizona being able to sit outside and enjoying the nice breeze humidity, and all the green in the back yard was such a blessing. The owner is very accommodating leave hight shampoo, conditioner, and hand soaps, dishes & dishwasher, also has a washer and dryer available it was so convenient having that on site, the back patio has lots of flowers green grass and fully grown trees that hives shade, we enjoyed every morning sipping coffee in the back yard. There is plenty of space for our doggies and cero stress with the location is prefect just minutes away from shopping and restaurants. We would definitely make this house a favorite place when we visit Missouri, thank you Nicholas for all your help, your house is a beautiful home away from home, we have everything we could possibly wanted. Thank you and until next year!!

Central location and beautiful home

We had a wonderful short stay. Property owners stayed in communication the entire time. The home had everything we needed. The fenced in yard was great for dogs. Home is beautiful. Love the older wood floors and the kitchen floor. It was very close to the aquarium which was our main reason for this trip and close to the mall which was nice. Wonderful stay and check in and out was so easy.

Amazing long-term stay!

The listing was great, but we were so impressed when we walked into the house. It was charming, clean, and just perfect for my family. We stayed for about a month and it truly became our home away from home. The front and back yard were perfect for throwing a football with the kids and grilling burgers. The home was so full of character with charming details everywhere. Overall, we loved the house and it was perfect for a families stay. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and charm of this property.

Cardinal House Springfield MO

We had a short stay with my family that included my parents, my husband, my 17 year old son, a spoiled golden retriever and me. We booked this cute cottage like home that was pet friendly and boasted a foosball table. The house was roomy, clean, and comfortable. The host was amazing and communicating and friendly. We cooked steaks on the grill and played foosball for hours. We could allow our dog out in the fenced in back yard without worry. The fact that we could hang out just like a home away from home, allowed us to fully enjoy our family time together. Thank you for lending us this cute home to make memories in!!

Pleasant Central Location

My wife and I and a friend stayed at this property for 3 nights along with our 2 dogs in April of 2023. This is an older home that has been renovated, so it invokes nostalgia while also delivering up-to-date features. The floor plan is relatively open, spacious, and bathed in natural light during the day. We especially liked the fenced backyard for the dogs and the fact the house was set back a good distance from the road to the front of the house. The furnishings were nice, beds were comfortable, and our host ensured it was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and recommend this centrally located property if you're ever in Springfield.

Not for elderly

Location was great! On arrival I had to sweep away cobwebs to get to keypad. Back entrance was even less inviting and buggy. Overall inside was clean but could use paint. Both toilets were child size and not very far off the ground. Very rough on older knees. Several trip hazards BUT overall great for young family
