It is clear that this hotel was converted from another hotel like a Holiday Inn with little change to the actual building. Our room on the second floor had a lovely view of the neighboring Taco Bell, and it seems as though the employees were taking their smoke breaks on the first floor outside of our room. The indoor pool may have been the worst part- the windows facing out of the building had been painted a cheesy woodland theme to block out natural light. There were few other amenities, and, in fact, one night during our stay, we watched two men wheel out the only vending machine in the building. My children did enjoy the free bag of gummy worms that was left on each bed in our room upon check-in, however. Overall, for the cost, I was expecting more, especially from a company that has such elaborately themed stores.

I can not rate this property because expedia booked a room and charged my card for a place that was already booked so the assistant manager requested a full refund for me from expedia and i am still waiting for my full refund.

They did not have king beds. Only double. I asked and they said when you book online you are given 2 double beds. I booked a king. I was not switched or refunded. The staff was pretty rude about it. I felt like because I didn’t book with them and I used an agency like Expedia they felt no responsibility for my stay. I will not return. Definitely not what you would expect from the Bass Pro brand.

The property touts it's pet friendly atmosphere as a booking plus. Well, their pet area is an overgrown area behind the hotel wedged between a wall and fences of private homes with ZERO lighting for after dark. It also doubles as a smoking area. Feel free to imagine my wifes surprise while trying to take our dog out after midnight and running into strange people, in complete darkness. Unsafe is a word I would use. The property has also NOT underwent the updating they advertise. The room was dirty, the sheets were dirty and it was 85 degrees upstairs at 5 p.m. It didnt even start to cool down untill 3 a.m. For a Bass Pro property we expected more. Don't advertise as pet friendly and then give us a call about complaints when our dogs bark at kids running the hallways knocking on doors. By the way, we paid the pet fee with no complaints even though I am 100% disabled veteran and my dog is my service animal. Man, I remember when Bass Pro supported the Armed Services, I guess it's just lip service until the next Veteran's Day sale right? We voiced our concerns to the attendants and they lied to Expedia to deny our refund. Stay far, far away from this property.

The hotel concierge was very knowledgeable and caring of our stay. She gave us advice on the best places to visit during our stay, to ensure and enjoyable experience.She was also very friendly and animated with our children for example my child left her stitch doll in the lobby when we asked about it she had made some mischief and acted as if the doll was to blame and even tied his hands my daughter loved it ! We appreciate the accommodations and the fun!

It was a severe let down. Lobby wreaked of what we could only describe as urine. It was raining outside so a little lead way is to be expected but the smell was overwhelming. The humidity in the building was bad. Like stick to your skin and I am talking in rooms and hallway. Room was warm all night and we literally slept on top of covers. The rooms were nowhere near what you expect from photos. Think super 8 with a facelift. Now on bright side. Breakfast was very good and biscuits and gravy were better than some restaurants in area. We had family visit and first thing they said was hallway and rooms were dark and depressing. I downloaded the channel guide but it didn’t match the Tv. We wouldn’t stay again unless better locations were full.

Our stay was pleasant. We did not swim, but the pool looked quite inviting. It was clean and neat. Although we could here or neighbors at first, everything was quiet during the night.

The staff was wonderful. We had dinner over at Hemingway’s Blue Water Cafe. Food was exceptional and we just walked over to the restaurant. Of course, also did some shopping at Bass Pro Shop. Breakfast was delicious and coffee was good. All-in-all, a good experience. We will be back.
