Hotel Riu Tikida Dunas - All Inclusive

2/10 Terrible

"Not 4 star, bathrooms are disgusting and need updating as grout is mouldy and water doesn’t drain properly in the shower…really dated. Air conditioners don’t work! Bathroom stink, indoor pool not clean! rude staff telling us we can’t eat breakfast on certain tables because they didn’t want to clean more! Horrible food, so bland and really disgusting. Entertainment not always appropriate for kids even though they said it is family friendly. Never recommend to anyone, waste of money."

Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea & Spa

"The Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea & Spa is a good, well maintained hotel. Staff were friendly, and the food was excellent - good variety — the breakfast was a standout. Lunch and dinner were also good, though we often walked to nearby restaurants as hotel dining is more pricey (though reflective of quality). A lovely surprise was the amazing chocolate cake delivered for my husband’s birthday – impressed by them recognising his birthday. The spa was another highlight, with a wonderful hammam, massage and facial. Where the hotel fell short was consistency. Room servicing varied, with basics like tea, water or tissues sometimes forgotten. Breakfast service also depended on the server, and we only discovered the hot menu a few days in. Waiting times were common — often 15 minutes for tea at breakfast or towels by the pool. The biggest issue was the lack of parasols. As someone who needs shade, it meant we often avoided the pool until late afternoon. Pool staff also felt inattentive unless tipped (as other guests seemed to receive a much better service). Practical improvements would include firmer pillow options and towel rails, as drying towels was impossible. Weather-wise, the Atlantic mist can make beachfront hotels cooler than expected. I would return to Agadir and possibly this hotel, but with caution in high season due to the parasol shortage and levels of service levels during high demand. AGADIR BEACH CLUB HOTEL

"The staff at Agadir Beach Club are outstanding. The hotel has good food in it's restaurants. There's a terrific singer in the hotel nightclub who performs nightly. There is a large swimming pool in the beautiful grounds. This was my second stay at the Agadir Beach Club, and I plan to come back."

"The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. The location is the worst place rendering the experience being unsatisfactory. On the website they stated about shuttle bus services to the nearest town and after enquiry it turns out the shuttle service is only for the beach. Using local taxi services was very expensive and something we were not expecting. Breakfast was great, but the rooms had a sewage smell that the friendly staff couldn't get rid of and they were fully booked so they were unable to relocate us to a different room. With young family I will not revisit this hotel as location and amenities don't suite our needs"
