Ink 48 definitely feels like it’s missing some heavy duty management. The staff was lovely, and everything seems clean, but overall it’s just a bit faded and unpolished. In our room, the hotel phone wasn’t working, the clock was set to be wrong time, the air vent seemed to be hanging on for dear life, and the mini bar was stocked with bottles of water from the bodega down the street, literally with these neon pink price stickers still on them. The hotel roof is managed by a different company, and they did not seem to have any hustle or desire to welcome hotel guests up to the roof. I know that has nothing to do with the hotel, but it is on the property and you would think that the rooftop staff would make a point of fussing a little extra over hotel guests. As I said, staff seemed very friendly, but it did look like a ragtag bunch with untucked shirts, a laissez-faire attitude, et cetera. For 750 bucks a night, for the overall stay I have to say I was a little disappointed

"The hotel was under construction when we arrived so there were building materials piled up in the parking lot and there wasn’t much of a lobby. The front desk person was surrounded by drywall and their moral/energy seemed low. But they got us checked in and out just fine. The room was clean but well ..."
