Saida in South Padre Island

We had a great stay at this condo in Padre Island. It was myself, my husband, his brother and wife. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. It was very spacious for the 4 of us, with a great view from the balcony. The kitchen had everything that we needed. I really wanted to use the hot tub but only one was heated which was full of young people constantly. The last day they heated a second hot tub but it was very cold that day and we did some sight seeing instead. It was very easy to access the beach so we did go for some walks weather permitting. Our very last night was noisy and music playing very loudly after midnight, so our stay was over at just the right time, the young people were arriving.

Needs updates

The property is an old property; however that can be made up with offering a few amenities. The condo we stayed in is in need of updates and repair. Both mattresses on the beds need to be replaced. They are in horrible condition. The sofa also needs to be replaced as in all three things, you would sink in. The sink in the master needs plumbing repair and so does the tub as the water does not go down. Providing your guests with better quality knives, kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and more wine glasses would be superb. Instead we had odds and ends and rusted stuff. Providing guests with basic supplies would be ideal as we have experienced in other condos. One condo had beach chairs, coolers, sand toys, water, basic spices, beach towels, etc… to make our stay so comfortable. We basically didn’t need to bring anything but our clothes abs suits because they accommodated us in every way. I would recommend since the condo is old to make up for it in this way. We were also without water (unable to go to the bathroom and shower from 11-5 on Tuesday due to a water leak. That was inconvenient.

Property needs TLC

The day before I was to arrive I received a voicemail from SPI asking for the time of my arrival. For the next 2 days I called multiple time and left multiple messages and never could get in touch with anyone. We had no idea what the check-in process was. The security guard at the complex told us we needed to go to the SPI office. We went to the office where a very nice young lady said they were not answering the phone or returning voice messages because she and her coworker were both new and still “figuring” things out. The property: Pro: great location, beautiful view of the ocean, very nice common area. Cons: the condo is in serious need of attention. Fixtures and floor coverings are very old and need replacing. The dishwasher had a horrible, sour smell.

overall great place and location

Property has wonderful views and amenities. Great location. The condo itself is very nice. Overall we had a great time and I would stay here again. But In my opinion, compared to other places I've stayed - it is lacking of stocked items. I couldn't find any extra blankets, only the ones on the beds. No blanket for sleeper sofa. Washer and Dryer are small and takes quite a while for a small load (4-5) of towels to dry. Couldn't find a broom anywhere.

Family trip

Great stay and all my family enjoyed the amenities and the layout of the entire property is awesome! Great ocean view and the beach steps away. I wish it had a small gym though.

Great view! Wonderful Condo!

This place is really nice, and has all the amenities of home. The weather was not our friend, but the heated pool and hot tubs kept everyone from going stir crazy. It was a nice vacation.

Amazing view and cute

The first thing that was awesome was the view and from master bedroom to see the ocean . The only thing that was disappointing was the shower description wasn't what was advertised and the people above us were loud. Every morning sounded like they were moving furniture. The beds were very comfortable and the decor was beautiful. Overall we would come back during a different time.

We stay in SPI with our 2 kids every year, this was the nicest condo we’ve stayed in for the money. There is an elevator right outside of the door in case you’re wondering.

Perfect View and Location!

The overall experience we had at the property was great. The view, pool, and beach access are awesome and the photos shared in the profile are as is. If we venture out to the island again in the future, we will certainly look to see if this is available. It was a great stay!

Very clean condo

Nice well-equipped condo that was very clean...and I’m very picky. We enjoyed our stay. Next time we will consider a top floor condo however because our neighbors upstairs were very loud and did not quiet down even after security warnings.

Love Saida, great View!

The condo is great! Very basic supplies, and the exact amount of towels 1 per person so we had to wash everyday. But overall it is a great place to stay and a wonderful view and great pools!

Perfect condo with spectacular view of gulf!

This 7th floor condo worked perfectly for our long couples weekend getaway to South Padre. It had all the amenities we could have needed including cooking essentials, nice leather couches, great flatscreen tv with cable, and very comfortable beds. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the small patio, with the spectacular view of the gulf. This condo is located on the south end of the island but there are many restaurants and stores within a close walking distance. This building was very secure, with gated entrance and plenty of visible security staff on hand. We were there at a very quiet time of year, so not many people around. The pool bar and snack bar were never opened during our stay. We enjoyed the heated pools and jacuzzis outside however, some are in need of maintenance. We would definitely stay in this condo again on a future visit.

Clean and comfortable!

The condo was very clean and comfortable. The large King bed was very comfy, as we usually struggle sleeping on new beds. This one was wonderful! The kitchen was well stocked and the other areas were just right. Thanks for a wonderful weekend get away!
