Wonderful stay in a serene location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Painted Pony Ranch! The property and surrounding location are as beautiful and relaxing as it gets, while being close enough to the surrounding towns for restaurants/groceries/etc. Kevin is an extremely friendly and accommodating host. The place was equipped with everything we needed for a long weekend stay. Thanks so much!

Ski trip

We had a wonderful time great house and yard for dogs! Very good location to ski all around Aspen, would love to see experience a different season next time.

Peaceful Country Setting

A unique home in a quiet country setting. The listing perfectly described all the features. We had a comfortable stay, and the dogs enjoyed the outdoor space as well.

Cool and quirky

The architecture and setting of this home is amazing. It comes with 2 very friendly goats and dog. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it, if you are looking for something unique and off the beaten path.

Loved the kitchen and family room. Very spacious and well equipped. I think my dog enjoyed the vacation more than we did...running around outside and playing with the goats, dogs and wild turkeys!

Welcoming retreat

Perfect home for your stay in the mountains

This beautiful home was the perfect stay for my friends and me while on vacation to ski and see music in Aspen. Kevin is an incredible host and such a nice person. If I'm back in this area of Colorado, I won't be staying anywhere else!

Fun and unique house

My family had a great stay at Painted Pony Ranch! We loved the warm atmosphere, the sweeping views from the living room, and the close proximity to skiing at Snowmass…and the goats! The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and we enjoyed having movie night and watching the Super Bowl on the huge screen in the living room. Kevin is a thoughtful host who took care of every detail!

Exactly as advertised

No surprises based on description. Close enough to mountains for affordable ski accommodations. Animals were a plus. Good communication and helpfulness when needed.

Fun at the Painted Pony

The Painted Pony is in a beautiful setting. We and our dog enjoyed the property. We really like this location as it's close to Aspen, Basalt, and Carbondale with their gorgeous scenery and many hiking opportunities to burn off the calories from all the good food. The host, Kevin, is very helpful and we really enjoyed our conversations with him.

Jewelry box cabin

This was like staying in my Aunts jewelry box. I mean this in the best ways. It’s was beyond charming upon arrival. Music and a bottle of wine. Well we enjoyed the music and the bro welcome. Our kids loved the water, goats and doggos. The art and interior are fascinating to see. Would definitely for people looking for a charming experience.

As described- fun getaway

Property is just as described. No surprises. We enjoyed Kevin’s hospitality, the dogs and goats. We wanted a place to get away from usual plugged in lifestyle while not being too far away from it and this place did the trick. Our 3 yo enjoyed the stay too.

Charming and economical

Excellent location. Spacious. Unique. Very comfortable. Not your typical hotel suite. Helps to have a flexible attitude to deal with certain shortcomings. It’s a farmhouse!

Fun cozy stay

We loved are time at the painted pony ranch! Setting was beautiful and we loved All the windows. Was great to come home to a quiet remote spot and cook a nice meal. Proximity to snowmass ski was excellent. It took about 10 minute drive to brush creek lot and then the public transit from there up to ski is awesome. We loved the goats - they were so cute and funny! Oh and the host even left us a bottle of wine. What a treat! We can’t wait to come back!

Peaceful farmhouse

This property is exactly as it states! It was wonderful! Sitting by the pond or in the hammock to the birds chirping and friendly dogs and goats coming up for loving and petting was so relaxing. It was a great way to unwind. We were there for the mother lode volleyball tournament in Aspen and it was a close drive away!! Kevin was so great and friendly!!

Our perfect stay and wedding!!

Our stay here was AMAZING. The home is so cute and cozy. It was so fun having the chickens, goat and dogs roaming around, they’re very friendly so don’t be scared! The owner Kevin had great communication, he kindly allowed my now husband and I to have our wedding reception here and I couldn’t have asked for a better location. Our entire friends and family were in awe of everything. Kevin, thank you again for being so welcoming and allowing us to have our event here. For anyone looking to have an intimate party I highly recommend booking here! We’ll definitely be coming back!

Cozy country cabin

Fantastic country cabin about 10 miles to SnowMass ski resort. Fully stocked kitchen, goats on property made for fun memories for the kids. Only thing to keep in mind if you're not local, is that there's a very curvy and somewhat steep road that you must take to get to the resort. In the winter they apparently do not scrape the snow off down to the pavement like they do on the East coast (only some type of gravel/sand treatment), so prepare by renting an AWD SUV.

Perfect Colorado Escape

We rented The Painted Pony property for our son's 20th birthday. What a special place. It makes for a perfect mountain getaway, complete with starry skies and abundant wildlife. We were greeted by two sweet pups and two curious goats. The house has cool architecture and was clean and welcoming. It's ideal for family time, with a large kitchen/dining/living area and two bedrooms off the main area. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The owner, Kevin, gave us some great tips for dinner in Basalt, which is worth a visit. Would definitely rent this peaceful, pastoral home again.Thanks, Kevin!
