"The cabin was very cozy and well stocked with everything we needed. The view is great. We really appreciated having the boat host for our fishing boat, the boat launch is only about 3 miles from the cabin. We had a very relaxing stay."

"We had a wonderful two night stay with Debbie and Alan while we were in the area for my cousin’s wedding. Debbie was an incredibly warm and welcoming host and we really enjoyed talking with her each morning. The breakfasts were outstanding! Generous portions and absolutely delicious. The breakfast burrito and homemade hash browns were some of the best I’ve ever had. Their home is beautiful and perfectly nestled into the landscape- very Frank Lloyd Wright. Alan designed and built the home himself, and we felt fortunate to stay in such a beautiful, artfully crafted place and to meet the architect himself. Alan always greeted us with a kind smile in the morning and Debbie made us feel completely at home. Between the hospitality, the amazing breakfasts, the peaceful setting, and the beautiful house, this was such a memorable stay. We would absolutely stay here again."

"The hosts were incredibly nice and the space was very clean, but somehow I missed that this is the lower level of someone’s home. It took a minute to get comfortable as I was worried about disturbing the owners upstairs, but they were very accommodating and welcoming."

"This is a great location for a get away! The hosts have so many comforts of home available and are amazing to work with. We could leave our boat in the lake attached to the dock which was so convenient to go out on the lake. The lake didn’t cooperate as much for fishing due to 2 fly hatches, but our fisherman caught enough for one good dinner. Our family of four used the cottage as a base for going to the Porcupine mountains, hiking to waterfalls, etc. It is about 40-60 minutes to some places but easy drives."

"This log home is amazing. It is funky and full of North Woods lore and charm. It probably isn't the best for little children, although we had our neices' little ones visit, and they had a blast. There are lots of beds, but not a lot of privacy due to the layout. Our multi-generational family loved it and found space for everyone. The location and view are top notch."
