This very comfortable property lies on the edge of the charming village of Hetton, only five miles from the bustling market town of Skipton. An excellent barn conversion, parts of which date back to the 16th Century with views over scenic countryside, Farfield House is very spacious and is decorated and furnished to a high standard. With a lovely restful garden, the house provides a welcoming retreat at any time of the year with open fires and a Jacuzzi bath to help you relax after a day exploring the dales. The village is home to the ’Best pub in Yorkshire’ renowned for its excellent fayre, and is central for the Wharfedale villages of Grassington, Kettlewell and Burnsall as well as nearby Malham, Settle, with Hawes and Leyburn within easy reach.

Farfield House was wonderful and the best equipped cottage we have stayed in, just like home from home. A great base for visiting the Dales and although there aren’t any amenities in the village (not quite true as there is a very expensive Michelin starred restaurant/pub within walking distance) it’s not far to shops and pubs in Gargrave and the Devonshire Arms at Cracoe was wonderful, very dog friendly and the locals made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend 😊

Great location for walking, in a beautiful village.

Great location for walking, in a beautiful village. Very impressive cottage with a huge living room and plenty of books and puzzles for wet days, a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Lovely big cottage in a great location for the Yorkshire Dales. Cottage is very well equipped with just everything you need. Very clean house and well decorated. Room on the drive for 3 cars. Good value considering the high value of properties in the area. Owner was helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Very well stocked with all necessary equipment if rather dated. Warm and cosy central heating system that tends to clatter and bang, especially in the morning! Nice to have the option of the open fire in the colder evenings . Very well positioned for walking into the dales hills, and having tiled floors in the kitchen and adjoining utility makes it easy when weather wet and dog is too. A little bit pricey in my opinion, as although very practical could do with a decor facelift and equipment restock to score higher.
