"April 2026: This is probably our seventh time staying at this incredible meticulously Puri Dajuma Eco Resort. Exceptionally trained and caring staff delicious breakfast options and views one can only dream about we particularly like Soka A, a charming bungalow in the upper pool area. Shell seekers. Leisurely walks. Surfing at Medewi. Free shuttle to nearby currency exchange, simple markets and to surf spots. Come here to get away from your daily world. Do keep in mind that the heat can keep you inside your place; great way to catch up on sleep, work on your watercolor painting, start that screen play draft, and play with each other. "This was the most relaxing stay we've ever had. We did read a review that almost derailed our stay there so I'm going to address a few things. 1. The bathrooms are open air. Meaning they have large openings to the outside and you can't close it off. They are fully concrete which is smooth as tile. This was alarming at first and it became one of our favorite parts once we understood the authenticity of the location. 2. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms. None in living or kitchen area and none in bathrooms. It's very humid in wet season and we spent a lot of time in the bedrooms because of this. 3. Laundry. The listing says laundry but there is not laundry on premises. You have to contact staff and they will come to you to get your laundry and drop it off when finished for a fee. It's VERY inexpensive and worth it for the speedy and kind service. 4. Location. The villa is very remote and there is not a lot of services near by so be certain to bring things you'll need. That being said- this was an amazing stay. The staff catered to EVERY need and delivered every single request to the door. We got massages and facials in the villa. We had our laundry done for us. We rented a scooter and they dropped it off and picked it up. They made us breakfast every morning. We ordered food from local restaurants and it was delivered to us while we were enjoying the pool. We hired the driver for day trips and he handled every single interaction while we were out. "

"The rooms were beautiful with stunning views, spotless and very comfortable. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The villas are close to local walks with amazing views and a waterfall you can swim in. "

"Look, we loved our stay here. We wanted an authentic experience surrounded by real Bali. Real locals, not overrun with tourists, good food and away from the traffic and bustle. It was perfect. We met with our local Balinese friends here that were made to feel very welcome. The staff were authentically friendly, no touristy pretense. Indomarat across the the road and the restaurant on site is simple but great, so all you need. Local ceremony nearby which was a great experience. We loved it. Don’t stay here if you want to have 5 star luxury, walk and find shops and restaurants and spas. Do stay here if you want to be surrounded by the real simple bali. Our ‘wooden’ villa had its own pool and kitchen. It was clean, spacious and beautiful. It had great air conditioning and gallon water available. We did an amazing day trip with our recommended driver by the hotel, Nicky. We are already planning next year. 11 out of 10. "
