Rachel's Place is a place of quiet rest yet close to all the attractions.

Rachel's place is located in Signal Mountain, TN. The cottage has a complete kitchen, bedroom with a queen bed, a murphy bed (full), bathroom w/shower and washer and dryer, a sun room in which you can have a cup of coffee as you look out into the fenced in back yard that has a garden and bird feeders. The back yard also has a fire pit with plenty of fire wood. It has a private parking area that is easy to enter and close to the front door.

Signal Mountain is unique in that it is a small town that was once voted the best place in TN to raise a family. It has a small town feel but yet close to all the attractions of the city of Chattanooga. Not only is it a very safe place stay, Signal Mountain has many attractions of its own for you and your family. Many people have stayed at Rachel's place to enjoy the hiking and outdoor activities.

The Pumpkin Patch is a wonderful and safe place to let you children play. The Signal Mountain community came together with donations and volunteer labor to put this together for parents and their children. It is also free to all who wish to visit. Only one mile from Rachel's Place.

If you love trails, gardens, 19th century home and out buildings, having a picnic with your family, McCoy's Farm is the place for you. McCoy's Farm was gifted to the town of Signal Mountain. With the Donations and volunteer labor of the people of Signal Mountain they restored this residence that had sit unattended for many yrs and brought it back to life. It is a wonderful place to visit. It is also free and only about 1 1/2 miles from Rachel's Place.

If you like Bluegrass Music you are in for a real treat. On the last saturday of every month, there is the Mountain Opry. Located just 1/2 mile from Rachel's Place. They have several Bluegrass bands perform that travel from all over just to put on a real show. It is not free but for just $5 you will have a great time. They also have great BBQ for those who have worked up an appetite.

RESTFUL REJUVENATION

Just had all we needed, nice lighting and extras, easy to get to and good for utility. Close to Chatanooga and Lookout Mountain.

Perfect for couples

The entire space was clean -The Bathroom, The Kitchen/living space. The bed was really comfortable. Overall it was a cosy stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

Rachel's Place was wonderful

We loved staying at Rachel's Place. The entire cottage was immaculate and very warm and homey. The Markets had everything in the cottage that made us feel at home, including up-to-date appliances, a great sun room, wifi, good TV coverage, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Anniversary Getaway

We loved the cottage! Place was just as the pictures described. It was very quiet! When we walked in it smelled amazing. Bed was very comfortable! There was everything we needed available. Check in was simple. We were given clear instructions on how to get there. We took W road and my partner loved traveling down it. We will definitely be back!

This little cottage was so clean and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, there were plenty of nice bath towels, the paper towels and tissue were good & not the cheap thin stuff, the kitchen was well stocked and the location is perfect. It was nice and quiet and in a safe area. I wish the outside table had been outside instead of inside. It was a little small to eat at. But it would’ve been perfect for outside in the evening as the weather was nice. And the furniture was a little off for tv viewing but it worked out sitting on the little loveseat. My only complaint would be there wasn’t any furniture in the bedroom to take things out of the suitcase. And the light from outside the bedroom window bothered us at night. We had a lovely note and little welcome basket which was a nice surprise. We would definitely stay again.

Nice place

Love the place. Soft bed and pretty location. Neighborhood was nice. Close to the city and hiking trails. I recommend if you are coming from the Chattanooga side to take 127 up to the place instead of Anderson pike. Anderson has quite a lot of tight switchback turns which might be tough if you aren't used to them or have a longer vehicle. The house was cute and was a comfortable quiet space.

Mountain Stay

The cottage is adequate and in a great location to all the Chattanooga area attractions and shopping necessities. It is a bit noisy with US-127 being right there. The hosts are very nice people and provide plenty of privacy. They could be more proactive in their communication efforts outside the VRBO platform, travelers don’t necessarily use that site once they’ve left home. We use cell phones.

Charming home

We stayed at Rachel's Place for a week. It was the week of the World Series. Jerry (owner) was able to get the Series for my husband. It wasn't easy but he was persistent! Thank you, Jerry! It was the perfect size for two people. Beautiful inside and out. God bless you for your kindness to us!

Memorable Family Trip

My wife and I wanted to swap the flat, green landscape, typical ocean and beaches and the forever warmer climate of Central Florida for some cooler fall weather, fall colors and beautiful, picturesque mountains. We chose Chattanooga Tennessee and we were not at all disappointed. We researched places to stay in the area and that is how we found Rachel’s place in Signal Mountain Tennessee. Great reviews, affordable pricing, and a quaint little place for our family to stay while vacationing we couldn’t pass it up. From the moment we arrived we were thoroughly impressed with Rachel’s place and its owners. Words alone cannot describe our wonderful experience. They have thought of everything possible to make this a home away from home. From hygiene products to kitchen utensils the place was fully stocked. Even books, puzzles, fire pit, piano and games were available for our enjoyment and the place is located just a short distance from all sorts of amazing outdoor activities, great food and the city. Communication and all pertinent information about the home was top notch from the moment we booked our stay. The house was well cleaned and a very cozy atmosphere. Perfect for vacation. Our family fell in love with Signal Mountain and the beautiful city of Chattanooga Tennessee during our stay and Rachel’s Place played a vital role in our amazing experience. We will be visiting the area again and we won’t be looking anywhere else but to Rachel’s Place for our next stay.

Truly Wonderful

This place was AMAZING!! 1000%As a person with anxiety I have few minor mentions for other neuro-spicy or sensitive folks, but I'd definitely stay again! They left fresh baked bread from a local bakery & fresh bouquet of flowers! The house was so cute, clean, very homey & comfortable, excellent heat/air. Tons of towels, which I love!Little mentions:1. I drive a lifted Toyota and I barely fit in the drive. 2 cars will fit but getting out made me nervous I'd hit the house or something, but a 3 to 5 point backing up turn, I got out. 2. I was under the impression it was a gated/locking privacy fence, so I drove a more expensive vehicle but it's just a little open parking nook around a fence. 3. I worried all night because there was no major lock to keep people out with it just being the electric keypad. So I slept like 3 hrs total. Maybe extra locks aren't even allowed on Vrbo rentals, I don't know. 4. It felt like a former Mother in laws suite, or guest house, as in location to neighbors. So when you pull in, you'll know. They're older and very quiet. 5. The opening to the church parking lot in the fence could be very beneficial for extra parking but it made me nervous because having eyes on that spot is a little hard from inside.Again, AMAZING HOUSE & AMAZING HOSTS! It had everything you could want or need. I never needed the hosts help for anything but you can tell they want you to be happy. There's so much cute stuff about this place that I don't want

So sad I could only spend one night here! The most adorable set up - it feels like staying at your grandparent’s house. Very spacious despite the size and a really nice kitchen. The hosts were so sweet getting everything prepared for us as well. Would 100% stay again! :)

The cottage was welcoming and comfortable. Screened in porch and backyard was peaceful and quiet. Kitchen and bathroom linens are well stocked, comfortable beds, and close to hiking trails. A wonderful experience with our awesome hosts Jerry and Debbie. We will definitely be back.

Comfortable and charming

This is an ideal place for a couple, or small family with one or two children, looking for a comfortable, yet charming place to stay on Signal Mountain. Very convenient location and the owners were extremely kind, accommodating and quick to handle and fix a minor issue that arose. We highly recommend it!!
