5/5 - Excellent
Lovely seaside community with a few touristy things but more of a residential community. We travel there often and always enjoy walking around town and on the waterfront

Booktown is known for its ample dining options, and you can make a stop by Port Sidney Marina and Victoria Distillers while in the area.

The room is starting to show its age but that didn’t bother me. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable, staff helpful, free shuttle to the airport and a decent price. I just wish we could try the breakfast but we shuttle at 5:30 and breakfast starts at 5. Not a big deal

The breakfast was amazing. I felt like a king.
We were en route to Salt Spring Island so this was a short visit. However, Sidney is a really pleasant surprise. We ate at a Japanese restaurant and then splurged on a cheese-tasting at The Farmer's Daughter - it was terrific.
Most convenient to ferries to the gulf islands
Beautiful place to home-base for an exploration of Vancouver Island. Close to everything around Victoria, and a little more quiet than staying directly in Victoria.
Just a nice spot
