Shizuoka Country Fukuroi Course

Very friendly staff. I caught them in the middle of renovations of a couple of floors but they were consensus of work hours. 10 minute walk from jr rail station.

Staff were incredibly attentive and nice. Even with the language barrier they went above and beyond using Google Translate to explain the courses of our dinners and breakfasts, as well as information about the town. The hotel was slightly out of town (15mins walk) but they have a shuttle that was basically on demand. We wanted to go into town for the night and they dropped and picked us up at our desired time. The property is also tucked at the base of a mountain which made for a beautiful location. Overall a relaxing stay and a highlight of my 3 week trip around Japan.

A good spot to stay in Kinosaki. The room itself was pretty outdated with an old tv - I really enjoy when hotel TV's have casting capabilities which this one did not. But the service and meals service was excellent, it's a self-serve buffet style dining which is great if you're a slightly fussy eater like myself. A little disappointed that the room view was blocked by netting for maintenance, which Inwas advised prior to arrival but after booking. I think some form of discount would have been nice for the inconvenience considering I had booked a river view room.
