"This is a great place to have an authentic Japanese experience. The traditional rooms with tatami floors were spacious and clean. The bedding was light and warm. The onsen experience was very pleasant. The traditional breakfast was flavorful and so were the welcome snacks. Definitely a valuable experience for those visiting the area."

"文化財に登録されるだけあって重厚で趣のある素晴らしい建物です。柱や梁の太さ、床板の厚み、上り框の立派さ、どれをとっても素晴らしい建築物です。 ご亭主や女将さんはとても親しみやすくとてもゆっくりくつろげました。 お料理は自家製の山菜料理や地元の食材をふんだんに使った物でとても美味しくいただきました。また温泉はさっぱりとした湯上がりでとても温まります。地元の方のお話も聞けてとても良い思い出になりました。家内もとても喜んでいます。 また機会があれば是非訪れてみたい所です。"

"Very nice Hotel in Akita in a good location. 5 min walk to Akita Station and nice restaurants and cafes around the hotel. Hotel Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beds are a little bit on the harder side, but still ok for me and my back issues. The reason why I couldn´t give 5 stars is, that I also reviewed places like the Waldorf Astoria or Ritz Carlton. But if I would only compare it to hotels in this price range, it would have gotten 5 stars."
