Right from being picked up from the station in a beautifully restored car, through to the well appointed rooms (and well stocked free mini bar and room service) and the incredible breakfast and dinner degustations, we had an incredible stay. "We loved our authentic Japanese vacation stay. Fireworks were a surprise we had not expected. Buffet had a large variety of choices although I am allergic to shrimp and do t like seafood so it limited me. I was still able to find enough to eat each day. Onsen was a new experience for us being Canadian but now we love it and will miss this relaxing ritual."

"The view from the hotel is magnificent. The Japanese style rooms are spacious and quiet. I speak survival level Japanese, but there were a lot of communication problems so be ready to have your translator handy. It’s best to have a car to get around the shuttle service was hard to schedule and when returning from the station, they leave exactly at the hour they won’t wait one minute for you during the crowded summer months you cannot get dinner served in your room so you have to eat and the buffet which had good quality for food, but it was still an expensive buffet"
